I used to belief that cats were girls and dogs were boys..

This is actually a friend of mine. Somehow or another as a child she came to the belief that all dogs were boys (male) and all cats were girls (female). Even after a sexual education class she never questioned this until the age of 19 when someone asked her how they could reproduce if each species had just one sex.
I used to believe that all cats were female and all dogs were male.

I don't know if it is particularly funny, but when i was about 5 i thought that cats and dogs where the same animals, that dogs where the boys and cats where the girls. I based this assumption on my sisters nickname (kitty) and the fact that we would fight non-stop from morning to night (and i was a boy)

When I was a little girl I used to think Dogs were the males and Cats were the females.
I believed that all dogs were male and cats were female. So when the dogs and cats mated (I had no clue how they did that) the offspring would be a cat if it was a girl and a dog if it were a boy. I believed the same for horses and cows.

When I was a kid, I used to believe that cats were "female" and dogs were "male." That I never saw their offspring had nothing to do with it.
When I was young, i used to believe that all cats were girls and all dogs were boys. Dogs just seemed to act like boys, and cats acted like girls.

There is a lady in our church, aged 80, who STILL believes that cats and kittens are female and dogs and puppies are male. About 15 years ago, I tried to tell her otherwise and she became very angry, saying that I was deliberately making fun of her.

When I was a little girl I believed that dogs were always boys and cats were always girls. How this worked, I'm not sure, but that's what I thought.
