Cats and dogs are the same species

I used to believe that all cats were girls, and all dogs were boys. The two would get together and make girl cat babies and boy dog babies. I have no idea where this came from other than I thought cats were more feminine and dogs were more masculine.

This is actually a friend of mine. Somehow or another as a child she came to the belief that all dogs were boys (male) and all cats were girls (female). Even after a sexual education class she never questioned this until the age of 19 when someone asked her how they could reproduce if each species had just one sex.

When I was a little girl I thought that dogs and cats could breed together, although I have never seen that. One day, I asked my mother what animal it was. She laughed and replied that it was not possible. It made me sad because it would have created an interesting animal!

when i was a child i thought that the dogs and cats can talk with people.And also, that the cats were female and the dogs male.

When I was young I thought all dogs were the boys (the dads) and all cats were the girls (the mums). and they got married and had babies...

I used to think that cats were female and dogs were male. It made sense somehow at the time because for awhile I lived in an all female household and we had cats, but no dogs. And I met my grandfather's friend and he had a bunch of dogs, but no cats. makes sense right? ;)

Since most cats were smaller, 'cuter' and more colorful than dogs. I used to think that cats were actually 'girl dogs' !
