I believed butterflies taste like butter
When I was a child, I saw a spider in my house. My parents said me that it was our spider and that she lived in our house in order not to frighten me.
Everytime I saw a spider I used to believe that it was the same spider.
One day I saw the spider but she was dead so I was sad.
Some days after I saw another spider alive so I understood the truth and I felt silly !

I used to believe amoebas wait 5 seconds before they start eating something you dropped on the floor.
I'm not sure if amoebas are classified as animals, but I'm putting this in the animals section anyway.
When I was young, I used to be afraid of spiders and thougt spiders tried to kill me.
One day, I was alone in my house. I was going to have a wash but I saw a spider! I wanted to kill it but it tried to chase me to kill me!
So, I didn't clean myself until my parents came home.Now, when I see a spider, I always think these evils spiders want to kill me! :(

I used to believe that a butterfly and a moth were the exact same thing. I thought they stayed at butterflies in the daytime and transformed into the moth pattern when it became night time.

When I was about 4 we had a mouse in the house, and I was the first to notice it. I didn't realize mice could get into your house in real life, and it was too fast to get a good look at, so I thought it was a special big ant. I was convinced that it knew I saw it and would come to get me if it heard me tell my parents.
I didn't know what to tell my mom when she asked why I didn't say anything sooner...

When I was little I was afraid of the insects, because I always thought that the animals could sting me.
I had the impression that the animals wanted to hurt me. Except that my stepfather who is not afraid of anything killed them all and I wanted to do the same as him. Then my father told me, "It's not the little beast that's going to eat the big ones." So I took my courage with both hands and then I started to realize that some insects could not sting me and that I surpassed this phobia.

I saw a spider on the floor and thought it was a baby tarantula. We don't even get tarantulas where I live.
When I was 7 years old, I used to collect slugs and snails in my grandparent's garden with my cousin (she's older than me), I don't know why, but we wanted to do a farming . We used to turn over rocks and take slugs and snails and classify them in different containers .
But one day, a slug stuck in my face but i've didn't see it. When my cousin noticed him, she yelled and hit me hard and swatted the slug on my cheek.
Now it's over, I promise to never touch slugs and snails again, because I'm afraid : maybe they will stuck everywhere !!

One day in the front yard when I pointed to the shell of a garden snail and asked my mom what it was, she said it was the snail's house. I imagined that when the snail retreated into his house he had all sorts of tiny furniture inside. I pictured the snail lounging on a couch, watching TV, and there was a little kitchen, and also a bedroom. The logistics of this made complete sense to me, because I believed that when the snail went inside his house he got smaller in the same way as when I saw the character Jeannie shrink down in size when she went into her bottle on the "I Dream of Jeannie" TV show. During the scenes where Jeannie was shown sitting on her pillows inside her bottle, you could see the groovy-looking interior walls of the bottle, and I imagined that same appearance for the interior walls of the snail's house.
