i used to think that flies didn't eat food until i was like 8
When I was a child my sister convinced me that a dirtdobbers nest was a twix bar. If you were a threee year old what would you think?? I ate it.
I once was terrified of falling through the trap-door of a spider
and never coming out, so I walked very carefully for a long time.
One time my family was on vacation and we had gone to the beach, I had brought a bucket and put a lot of snails with pointy shells in it. That night they had started crawling (?) aroung the bucket and my brother told me that while I was sleeping they would escape, crawl up my nose, and eat my brain. My sisters played along too, needless to say I a scary sleepless night. Mean!
I use to think if you ate bugs you'd die.
When I was about 4 we had a mouse in the house, and I was the first to notice it. I didn't realize mice could get into your house in real life, and it was too fast to get a good look at, so I thought it was a special big ant. I was convinced that it knew I saw it and would come to get me if it heard me tell my parents.
I didn't know what to tell my mom when she asked why I didn't say anything sooner...
i used to believe that ears were actually earwigs and that when i saw my mum cleaning her ears the earwig was going to the toilet but needed help to get it all out:)
When i was younger, when i pouted, my mom would tell me that a grasshopper would land on my lower lip. i never understood what she was trying to gain by saying that and she never seemed to understand that didnt make me stop pouting because that was all she said.
when i was 6 i used to think that butter came from sqwached butterflies and then i saw this tiny butterfly with was more or less the same colout as butter i gave it to my dad ( coz i dont like butterflies) and said to him dad heres a good butterfly mabey we can have some homade butter on our toast you shodov seen the look on his face
I once saw this educational program thingy on tv when i was a kid and saw how spiders can have lots and lots of babies. I was always afraid that when i got home, million and quadrillion of spiders would crawl onto to me and lay eggs into my brain. I'm still out creeped out by spiders after that show.
My parents always told me that garter snakes didn't bite. They told me this so I wouldn't be afraid of them. I always picked them up and was never bitten until one day I found a very big one. I picked her up and she bit me on the arm. I was stunned, but all I did was put the snake on the ground and was fine. I didn't freak out at all. All I said to my father was, "It bit me!"
When I was 7 years old, I used to collect slugs and snails in my grandparent's garden with my cousin (she's older than me), I don't know why, but we wanted to do a farming . We used to turn over rocks and take slugs and snails and classify them in different containers .
But one day, a slug stuck in my face but i've didn't see it. When my cousin noticed him, she yelled and hit me hard and swatted the slug on my cheek.
Now it's over, I promise to never touch slugs and snails again, because I'm afraid : maybe they will stuck everywhere !!
We have (In Vermont at least) those huge mosquito looking bugs referred o as "sewing needles", and when I was little one would get into my room or my tent while camping and my mother would say "They'll sew your eyes shut unless you close them." So she'd get me to go to sleep that way, but I believed it to be true.
when i was about 6 my big brother (11) told me that if i went outside the killer bees would get me and eat me up.
of course i beleived him and ran in side at once then didnt come out for about 5 days lol
This summer I was fine and was having fun until one night while I'm playing on my phone my teddy bear moved from by my side to hiding in a little corner of my bed. That freaked me out so I placed both of my teddy bears in one spot and leave the room. When I came back to go to sleep I see they both have moved. Today the smaller one moved twice. Now I have been searching to see if there alive in any way. since they haven't tried to kill me I am fine and I think we can be friends I just wish they would talk to me!
When we were younger me and my brother used to rip the wings off greenfly. One time to stop us from torturing one my mum told us we should look after him and his name was Peter. For years we believed that all greenfly were called 'Peter'.
I used to think that if you pulled the antenna off of ants they could not talk to one another.
When I was little, my cousins, brothers and I (since I am the only girl out of 4 brothers, and one of 4 girls out of 14 cousins) would put straws in the ground and try to suck up the worms... Tony (the oldest) told us that it was cool, and since he was older and "cooler" back then, we all did it... unfortionately, i got a worm one time, and so did Tony... it was pretty gross
i used to believe that we can eat sipders cause that my mom said that she would put one in my month if i would not be quiet !!!
i used to belive that if u left your coat on the floor a spider would crawl into your skin. Then it would go in your stomach and turn into a spider baby with a spider head and a human body. well thats what my mom told me when i was 4 or 5
