when I was little i was scared of vacuum cleaners. I thought they would suck me inside of them.
I used to believe there where was an evil eyeball in the corner of every room, near the ceiling, and if you made it angry it would glow red and give you nightmares at night.
When I was little our washing machine broke down and someone said, "Oh there's Gremlins in it" I thought there was a huge army of ugly bugs running around inside it!
I once thought "air conditioner" was related with "hair conditioner" and Shamu was related to "shampoo". One day, my hair was R134A'd on one side, R-12'd on the other with Freon (Non-CFC), and oily and greasy from synthetic whale blubber, thanks to my brother. 5 hours later, Mom discovered her Orca statue covered with Pantene Pro-V, and guess what happened to the A/C... Had to spend $50 on cleaning the condensation pipes, compressor, Coolant Recharge Valve, -yikes-
When I was 3 my parents were selling our house and we had a guy come to look at it and shortly thereafter we moved and i thought that he had stolen our house. So we saw him at a store once and i asked why he had stolen our house.
When I was about 2 years old, I dropped a ring I had gotten from a gumball machine down the space between the elevator and the floor of our apartment building. For the next three years or so, I would not step on the crack in any elevator, because I thought I'd be sucked down it forever, like in my nightmares.
I went through a stage where I prepaed myself every night before sleep for what I would do in case the house burned down that night. My parents had once told me that I couldn't take the time to look around and bring things outside with me, so I used to take all the stuffed animals and dolls on my bead and hold them at once, so I'd be prepared to carry them out with me.
I used to be scared of the dark after playing a Nancy Drew computer game, and I have an active imagination, also. I usually go to bed late and have to turn all the lights off. One time, it was completely dark and I looked down the hallway to my parent's room. I could've sworn I saw a figure wearing a black cape with a hood, creeping down the hallway. I ran to my room and locked my door and haven't looked down that hallway at night since.
My mother usually don't do the washing up right away and leaves the dishes to soak, I used to believe the things that were washed right away weren't as clean as things that had soaked or even thing that had been left in a pile by the sink over night. I still don't like eating of plates there have been washed right after use.
i beleived that when someone bought a new house, they would swap with the person they bought it from

I used to believe that the people who appear on TV were inside of it and I tried to see them and I didn't understand what was happening.
I used to think, before going abroad for the first time, when I was 9 and went to Portugal, that staying in holiday apartments would be like staying in my great gran's flat. (:
I believed in less strange things, for example in the bogeyman and also that when it rained I couldn't look in the mirror things that I would say simple
"Eu acreditava em coisas menos estranhas, por exemplo no bicho-papão e também que quando chovia eu não conseguia olhar no espelho coisas que eu diria simples
I used believe that everyone who had a TV had their own TV shows on every day, when i heard someone say did you see the benny hill show the other night i thought "that was on my TV too"..but i was kid.
wen i was young i used to think there was a man who lived under my kitchen sink and for years i would never open the cupboard under it incase he came out and kidnapped me!!!!!!!!!!!!
in my old home, (right now i'm 11 and my parents are divorced) my dad used to tell me that there were "little people" living in the walls. i used to believe him and i would even put crumbs out at night for them to eat!
You know those "Yuck" stickers that your mom used to put on the medicine cabinet and stuff... Well, I thought those stickers were people that had touched whatever was inside of the cabinet, and had been stuck on the sticker to show me how bad it was to touch that dangerous stuff. When I told my mom what I thought, she encouraged it, and I believed it until I reached middle school!
--I thought if I swung hard enough in my swing i could possibly reach an airplane
i used to believe that our ansering machine was the washing machine and that it could talk
