i thought that bathroom mirrors were cameras and that perverted people were watching my every move so i would go to the bathroom in really elaborate ways to maintains my privacy. what further enhanced that believe was that my uncle turned out to be a child molester and i thought that meant he spyed on kids through mirrors because no one told me what really happened.
when i was five, my older brother made me watch a friday the 13th marathon. then when it was over he told me that if looked in a mirror and said a dead person's name 99 times than monsters would come and kill me in my sleep. he made me say a dead realitives name in my bedroom mirror 98 times. i am married with three kids and still cant sleep where i can see a mirror for fear i might utter that horid name one last fatal time. thanks for the night terrors matt...
I don't know where it came from, but I was always scared to wipe away the fog from the mirror when I got out of the shower. I thought either the guy in the mirror would be doing something different than me or it would be a skeleton. Mirrors still freak me out.
When I was about 7 I stared at my reflection for minutes to see if it would jump out and try to scare me.
Another time I tried to have a staring contest with my reflection. Soon I found out it always ended in a tie.

I used to believe, and almost still do (I'm 12) that if you look in a mirror through the corner of your eye, you would see scary stuff, or if you looked straight into a mirror, you would see scary stuff behind you. I still look away from mirrors in my bathroom.

I remember someone telling me that if you looked at yourself in the mirror, without blinking for a while, you would see yourself getting older and older! I had scary visions of my 3ft self being all bearded and wrinkly in my mr men pyjamas!!
I had a fear of seeing a person in the corner of the mirror(most of the time a morlock)
I used to believe that whoever made the mirrors would put cameras behind them and would all sit around and watch you. I would always cover up the mirror whenever I had to use that restroom. I didn't want them to see me!

I used to believe that there was a video camera behind my mirror and that it recoreded everything I did and it was all played on TV in China.

I used to believe that mirrors reflected everything. So if you threw a rock at a mirror it would bounce off 'reflected' leaving the mirror unscathed.
I used to believe that when you cracked a mirror your reflection would come and take over your body!

When I was about 4 I remember using a mirror to see what I looked like with my eyes closed. Oddly enough I never could. : )
When I was little, like really little I thought that the beautiful girl I saw in the mirror was my twin sister, so when I would sit on my mom's counter while she did her make up, I would lean over and kiss myself in the mirror.

I used to fight with myself in the mirror, believing that eventually I would say something so quickly that the mirror-me wouldn't be able to keep up.
I thought if you looked in a mirror long enough, your face would stay there and whoever looked at it after you would look exactly like you!
i used to think that if you looked into a mirror and thought something really mean about someone (like'i hate this person'),something bad would happen to either me or them. when i did think something mean in front of a mirror, i held my breath until i got out of the room.
i used to believe if u turn your backto the mirror u would trade places with your reflection and get stuck in the mirror
