I used to think that if I stared into the mirror long enough you could see the faces of your past lives. Really its just your eyes getting tired and distorting what you see.

When my twin sister and I were younger we had a bathroom with two sinks and a mirror over each sink. we would sit for hours in front of the mirrors sitting on the counter with our feet in the sink talking to our "mirror friends". It was amazing how they said the exact same things at us at the same time. How entertaining. It was fun even though we subconciously knew it wasnt real. 3 year olds are so amusing.

At my grandma's house in the bathroom, there's a jacuzzi tub, and on either wall at it's ends, there are two big mirrors. And you know when there are two mirrors facing eachother, the reflection goes on and on. When I was little, I thought it was a long passage way to another world where if I got to the end of it, I'd come out dressed as a princess and have all the things I wanted.

Like most kids growing up, I believed there was an upside-down word on the other side of the mirror.

When i was in first grade someone told me that if I turned of the light and said black sheep bloddy marry 10 times then a lady would jump out of the mirror and chop my head off. I was sooo scared of that, I was scared of mirrors for a long time!

i used to believe that if you looked in a mirror in the dark you'd see you're future but if you saw it it would go horribly wrong and you'd be miserable...i still dont look in mirrors in the dark..and nobody can make me.

For years I was terrified of mirrors. I was a big alice in wonderland fan, even though it scared me! I thought that if you slept with the miror facing you, youŽd be sucked into AliceŽs world but she was a "bad Alice" So I had to turn all the mirrors around and cover the back of them too so nobody could escape from the other side.

I was told that if you looked in the mirror at midnight on halloween, you would see the face of your true love. I even tried it, and scared myself stupid cuz I thought I was going to turn into a girl.

I used to believe that my parents had installed a camera behind the (two-way) bathroom mirror. I used to cover it up with a towel so they couldn't see me naked!

As the saying goes - breaking a mirror will bring you seven years bad luck. As a kid I was terrified. Seven years is such a very long time (when you are 7 years old!). I broke a mirror and really worried about how long it'd be till my life got better again.

when i was five, my older brother made me watch a friday the 13th marathon. then when it was over he told me that if looked in a mirror and said a dead person's name 99 times than monsters would come and kill me in my sleep. he made me say a dead realitives name in my bedroom mirror 98 times. i am married with three kids and still cant sleep where i can see a mirror for fear i might utter that horid name one last fatal time. thanks for the night terrors matt...

When I was little I watched a movie with cops interviewing a suspect and saw the one-sided mirrors they used to watch the people in the interrogation room without them knowing. For the longest time after watching that movie I always thought people were behind my mirror watching me , so i would try and hide from it while I changed clothes.

I used to believe that if you looked away from the mirror and looked back fast enough, you could see yourself looking away.

when I was little I thought that if you looked in a mirror and didn't see your own reflection you would die. The other reflection was supposed to be a picture of who you would be in your next life. Sometimes in the dark I was convinced that it wasn't me in the reflection and I totally freaked out!

When I was about eight my cat died and my sister told me that when something dies the ghost goes straight to the closest mirror. (she believed this too). So when I looked in the mirror i'd say hi to my cat
