I used to put all of my stuffed animals on the left and right side of me when I went to bed. I thought that if rolled over to one side while I was sleeping the bed would tip over and the monsters under my bed could grab me. If the animals were there, I wouldn't roll over and the animals would get dragged down instead of me.

I believed that the monster under my bed had a sharp sword that he would run around the edge of my mattress in hopes of lopping off any body part that I might let dangle over while I was sleeping. To get into bed, I would run from the doorway and leap on, just in case the sword was out already.
When i was around 6 or 7, me and my sisters believed that at night, evil monsters would come and hurt us. So, we used to arrange pillows and bolsters and blankets around the perimeter of the bed, believing that it prevented monsters from coming in.
When I was five, I was terrified of the dark. (Kind of still am.) But at the time, I thought that if I tucked my blanket under my arms, legs and around my head, so that I was completely covered up, nothing evil could penetrate it, and I would be safe. One morning my mom came in to wake me up and in one swift motion she jerked the blanket completely off of me. Goodbye security.
When I was very young, I used to think there were monsters all over my floor in the dark, but they all died and disappeared when the lights came on. I would turn out the lights and RUN to my bed where I was safe before the monsters could respawn.
When I was little I thought that if I slept facing the wall I would be attacked or eaten because I wasn't looking.
I still have to sleep with my back to the wall.

When I was younger I was told a story at camp about if you leave any of your body parts other then your head out of under the covers that they would be cut off, and I am so used to it now I cant sleep unless my body parts are under the covers
When I was younger, I had a device (can't remember what it was) which would emit a little bit of light. It was prominent at night. When one of my hands or feet hung over the side of the bed, the shadow looked like a monster and now I never hang any part of mybody over the side of the bed
At my old house there were ghost and I would always hear them under my bed at night. And if I were to hang a limb or other body part ove the edge, A bright laser light would flash and blind me for a moments notice and when I would be able to see again I would be missing the body part.
I used to believe that under the floor under my bed there was a room. all the monsters under my bed would hide in the room whenever somebody looked under the bed
When I was young I believed there was a monster that lived under my bed and in order to keep him from coming out and eating me, I had to feed him lint balls that I pulled off of my blanket. Every morning I would wake up and step on a pile of lint.
when i was little i got my sisters matress to sleep on and she got a new one and i didnt like hers so id sleep on the ground and my mom didnt like it so she said that before we moved into the house this girl named sally got attacked by sallygeters during a sleep over cuz she slept on the floor and to make things worse they said i slept in the same room she died in. that night i slept on my bed and i woul have to run from the door and jump on just in case a sallygetter was fiding under my bed.
I used to believe that there was an imaginary hole beside my bed that went straight to Hell. I was terrified that one morning I would wake up and fall down this hole and end up in Hell. Being raised Baptist didn't help matters lol
My sister used to hate when i had my feet out of the blanket, so one night she said "if you keep your feet out of the blanket while you sleep, leprachans will come and eat your toes!"
Ever since then, my feet have been under the blanket covers, even on the hottest of nights
When I was 7 I used to check my closet and under the bed to see if any robbers were hiding in there before I went to sleep.
I used to have this belief that if I let my feet hang over the side of the bed while I slept that gnomes under the bed would cut off a toe to keep for their collection.
When i was younger i used to think that there was a boogyman under my bed and would grab my ankles, i thought this b/c of the Adams family. So once my sis. crawled under my bed and tried to grab my ankles. so i jumped on my bed andthrough a actioon figure under my bed and broke my sisters noes and concored my fear.
When I was little, I thought that under my bed there was an invisible trap door. Under this trap door was a long starcase, and a vampire was always climbing up the staircase to kill me. Needless to say, I would jump on my bed everyday, to hit the vampire in the head after he opened the trapdoor and make him fall all the way down the stairs, so he could never get me. I was a very weird child.
