When I was 6 I believed I had demons under my bed so in order to not be afraid of them I appointed myself their Queen. I used to keep them in check by randomly ordering the beheading of one of them. I figured if one got killed for nothing at all the rest would be sure to stay in line. I usually ordered them around when I was on the toilet (My throne). There was one rebel, Jules, who I was afraid of because he used to look me in the eye. I was afraid he was starting a revolution so I had others spy on him. I didn't want to kill him, though, because he was far too fascinating.
After seeing the movie Pinocchio's Revenge, I was so scared to turn off the VCR, Because it ended with big, blue wooden eyes.. I thought he was really evil and was under my bed.. I left the TV on all night. I wouldn't get out of bed at night for at least a month.
i could never have my feet dangling over the edge of the bed, because a little man would wait and see if my toes slipped over. if they had, he would run by with a knife to chop them off.
I used to believe in the invincibility of my blanket, that if I was completely coevered by the blanket and the ends tucked under me, that nothing, not burglars or the monsters under the bed, could hurt me.
When i was about 5 my ceiling fan made a squeeking sound and i used to think it was the mice squeeking and playing under my bed!!!lol
I used to believe there was a ventriloquist's dummy under my bed and the head would come out on its stick and bounce around my bed leering and laughing. I was also unable to go to sleep if the wardrobe door or a drawer was even slightly open as I believed this would let ghosts in.
I used to be scared of the mano peluda/ the hairy hand. My grandma would say that if we were bad that the "mano peluda" would grab us from under the bed. She used to scrape the wall with her toe nails and say that it was the "mano peluda" coming to get us.
There was a giant that lived under my full sized bed at night. He would try to get me by reaching his arms up from underneath, and touching me with his hands. If I lay in the middle of the bed though, he couldn't reach me.
when my brother was little, my sister and i told him that if he didnt wear socks to bed that this man would come and eat off his toes. he believed us and wouldnt sleep without socks on...for...a good like 5 months
because my bed was up high in my room but it wasnt a bunk bed it just had my wardrobe under it but there was anough room to for someone to stand under, so i thought that when i got up in the night to go to the loo a man would be standing under there and when i came back to get up into my bed is when he would get me so i would run as fast as i could into my room and climb up the lader really fast and would hurt myself alot of the time.
when i was 6 i used to believe there was an alien under my bed and if i didnt get a running start and jump like 4 feet on to my bed he would reach his hand out from under the matress, grab my leg and pull me under.
for a very very long time, i thought that the monsters under my bed liked to eat toes cuz i asked my mom what monsters ate, and she said toast. i thought she said toes. so i always had a stuffed animal at my feet to protect me at night. i made deals with the monsters that if they didn't eat me, my stuffed animals wouldn't eat them, so me and my under-the-bed monsters have been friends ever since!!
I used to think that the boogie man lived under my bed and so I jumped to my bed from as far away as possible and thought if he caught me I would be forced to silently and motionlessly sit in a circle with other kids that had been caught.
when I was little there was a monster (, hairy, and green with glowing red eyes and spikes down is back and arms about two feet tall ) who lived under my bed his name was zozone he used to play cards with me at night.
When I was between kindergarten and third grade, I used to believe there was a cow under my bed. I would be petrified to wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom because I worried the cow would grab my leg and drag me under with it.
when i was little i watched movie chuckie (the killer doll) and i strongly beleived wheni went to bed and my feet were hanging off the bed he would come and chop them off so i couldnt run away. so i used to never let any body part hang off my bed.
Once when I was about seven, a babysitter had a friend over who brought the video "Planet of the Apes". Of one or another reason I was allowed to watch it, which made me think there were apes under my bed, apes under the stairs (so they could grab my feet), and apes in closets and behind doors. I`m over the bed-thing now, but I still run the stairs. I`m born in 75.
ok, two versions. first i made sure that my arms and legs did not hang over the sides of the bed. if they did the wolves under my bed would tear them off, however i was safe as long as there was no hang over. second, i made sure that i slept on my stomach, because when theives broke into my room they would not stab me in the back. it was an honor among theives thing. i always woke up the next morning by following these simple rules.
As A Child: I used to believe demons would bite your feet off if you dangled them over either side of your bed while you were sleeping at night (or trying to sleep!)
To this day(Im Now 15)i still can't go to sleep without curling up the end of the bed covers and hiding my feet in there because i've always beleived that there is a toe-eating monster under my bed that will eat my toes if they were not covered.! And when i feel the cold on my toes i think its the monster getting ready to eat them!!(My friends get real annoyed when i sleep over at theirs or they sleep over at mine!! Hehehe I Cant Help The Though!)
