I used to believe that if I didn't tuck in my feet into the blanket when I was sleeping, a monster under my bed would grab my foot and suck me underneath. There would be a dark lair under there and the monster would make me their new leader of darkness. Then the monster would leave and go out into the world while I was stuck under the bed. I still really haven't grown out of it; I still tuck in my feet. :P

When I was younger, bedtime was hard. You know how when you lsometimes first lay down and you can kind of hear your own pulse/heart beat in your pillow?¿ I used to think it was a little man in my pillow cutting a small circle just below my ear with a tiny saw so he could crawl inside my ear.... I'll admit I slept alot with my hand between the pillow and my ear!!!

I used to think that a man is under my bed and that if I got out of bed when it was dark he would grab my ankles and drag me under there with him. I once stalled myself getting up Christmas Day because of it.

As a little kid,I was told that if I sleep with my leg stretched out,the wicked which who lives under my bed would reach out and grab my leg n pull me down.
The witch who lived under the tub would do the same if I bathed for too long.

To this day,I sleep curled up in bed n take short showers. I'm 25 now. Yes, I swear!

When I was a kid I believed that the Sears repairman lived under my bed and I was scared to let my hands or feet hang off the side of the bed. To this day I keep my arms and legs safely under the cover - and I'm 45!

i used to believe that their was an old lady tortoise who lived under my bed. and though she was really nice, and told me not to be scared of her, i could never let my arm hang over the edge of the bed. she would give me advice, and was very much like a grandmother figure to me. (i do have a gradmother, and we have a very good relationship, so i don't know why i also had a tortoise... maybe cuz i didn't see my grandma all that often...)

then one day when i was about 7 or 8, i finally got the courage to let my arm hang. (i had always wanted to touch the tortoise's shell and skin and see if it felt the same as my real live pet turtle, who i'd had since i was 4... and i still have now - i'm 18) but i fell asleep before she reached me (cuz tortoises are slow) and she never came back again

I was always terrified of spiders, and when the lights went out I was convinced that they would crawl up under the sheets and amass at the foot of the bed. So I slept curled up in a tight ball, never straightening my legs for fear they'd get me.

I used to believe an evil crocodile lived under my bed and that once the light was off, if I put an arm or a leg over the side of the bed, it would leap out from underneath and bite them off.

when I was 4, I used to believe every night when I went to bed, that robbers, kidnappers, and murderers were waiting under my bed for me. So I believed that if I yelled and talked to them, "I know you're under there! Go away!" and all sorts of gibberish, that they'd believe they were found out and would have to leave.

When I was in bed and it was dark I used to be terrified whenever a spot of moonlight leaked through the curtains and shone onto the wall - I thought it was an evil eye in the wall staring at me all night

when i was little i used 2 believe that there was a monster under my bed and that if i didnt feed it every morning and every night it would creep up on me when i was sleeping and kill me. i called it the "food monster". my mom went crazy trying 2 figure out where all the cereal and left-over meat loaf went. 1 day i was talking 2 my sister and i told her i was worried that it was going to kill me because i had forgotten 2 give it breakfast 1 day. she could not stop laughing and she hasnt let me forget it 2 this day. every time i annoy her she says "remember the food monster?"

I always thought that the "things" that lived under the bed would get me if my hands or feet stuck out of the covers. Heaven forbid if they ACTUALLY dangled over the edge. THAT would be absolute death! Oh yeah, and if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night when the lights are off, you have to RUN so they don't get you before you turn the lights on at the wall switch. I always wanted a lamp or nightlight beside my bed so it wouldn't be dark.

I had a friend who told me that there was an evil monster under his bed that would eat me if I touched the floor. After promising that it would follow me home should I ever tell anyone about it, he proceeded to "fall" on his floor and yelled "IT'S GOT ME!!!" Needless to say, I ran downstairs screaming and told my dad right away. For months afterward, I was scared to walk on my bedroom floor, especially at night.

if i was already in bed w/ the light turned off and i wanted to get out of bed for some reason i would jump away from the underneath part of my bed. i was scared that someone might have snuck in my house during that and that they would attack me.

When i was little, my older brother told me that at night the monsters under my bed woke up, and that if i left my bed, they'd get me. so every night, id jump into my bed and i had to leave id climb down a plank of wood and jump out the door. i did this for like 2 years before my dad found out.

I used to have this belief that if I let my feet hang over the side of the bed while I slept that gnomes under the bed would cut off a toe to keep for their collection.
