I used to think that if I covered my head up while I was sleeping whatever bad things that were out there couldn't get me. Once I slpet in curlers, so I was convinced that they wouldn't recognize me.
I used to believe that the little kid from "Pet Cemetary" and the real killer (The one dad) from "I know what you did last summer" were under my bed and if I put my feet on the floor too close to the bed when I would get up, the kid would cut the tendon (Or whatever you call it) in my heel just like in the movie and the "I know what you did last summer" killer would pull me under and chop me into little bits.
I used to believe that if anybody part wasn't under the covers at night the baby dolls in my closet would come and chop them off. So as you can probably tell what it was like during the summer...
I used to think a big alligator lived under my bed...I was very scared of it...I thought if it got mad it would kill me. So I never looked under the bed..and I would throw food and things under it...The smell was what I thought was the alligator getting bigger. I figure it I fed it enough It would explode. I threw so much food my parents smelt it from their room after a good week of food throwing. When they found they convince me the alligater wasn't hungry and he was nice.....o geez
When I was young I believed there was a monster that lived under my bed and in order to keep him from coming out and eating me, I had to feed him lint balls that I pulled off of my blanket. Every morning I would wake up and step on a pile of lint.
I used to think that monsters would grab me from under the bed if I had one leg visible, but they would be afraid if both my legs were standing there together.
I used to think that there was this old man that lived at the end of my bed, and at night would come and eat my toes. So i always had to wear my slippers to bed so i could keep my toes safe.
I used to believe that if i stuck my head out of the quilts, the shadow creatures would pull me out and tear me up into little peices.
I used to believe that there was a witch underneath my bed and if any of my bodyparts hung over the sides the witch would grab and eat me. :o
When I was a little girl, our bedrooms on the second floor, my sister who is 7 years older than me told me that there was a gremlin living under her bed. I think she was trying to keep me out of her room. Anyway I stopped believing that after a while and she went off to college. I then took over her room so I didn't have to share a room. No problem, no monsters. Until one day I looked out the window into the darkness and saw an animal staring in at me. ON THE SECOND FLOOR! I was so scared I covered myself from head to toe and refused to look out unless it was actually true. Only the next day did I remember that a part of the roof is right below my new bedroom window, so it was rational that a cat could try to get back into our house from the 2nd floor.
When i was little i thought if i left my toes, hands, feet anything hangin out of my bed that scream on the texas chainsaw massacre of the horror would come and chop my feet off.Even thought i know its not true now im still terrified of leaving my feet out. Yeah also because my cat attacks my feet LOL
I didn't ever think i had a monster under my bed. I thought there was a monster under the FLOOR under my bed! it stuck a whith hand up from a flap under my bed (which isnt actually there.) One night my mom made a "monster repelling spray" from water and (i think) spices. I was SOO glad to move to a new room when my little sister was born! (There were also 3 dots of light on the wall every night, which kinda creeped me out)
When I was a kid, I used to sleep with my feet off the bed and my father scared me saying that the dead would pull my feet at night.
When I was about 4 or 5 yrs old, I had crawled into my parents bed ( I was scared of the dark). Well, I KNOW I was awake, because I was fixing my pillow to block my dad's snoring. When I looked over my mom's shoulder I saw suspended in mid air, a pair of white gloves, a top hat, a can swinging, as if someone was standing there, with no body!!!!! an invisible man!! I hid under the sheets until morning. I'm still afraid to fall asleep in the dark!
i used to believe that there was something living under my bed and i always jumped like a half foot to get in my bed------i still do that!
As a kid I saw Invastion from Mars, people would fall in the earth and get shot in the neck and then they became really evil. So I was terrified to get out of bed during the night thinking I would sink into the floor.
I used to belive that King Kong lived under my bed, i would go into my room, and quickly jump on to my bed so that he wouldn't grab my legs.
I used to think that a lady werewolf was under my bed when I was six well into my 6th grade. To this day I still can't sleep with any limbs hanging over the sides, even knowing better.
I thought it was because I remembered a scene in a movie called "Werewolf of London" where a woman discovers blood under her bed and a werewolf hand snatches at her and she wakes up. Someone was trying to make her believe she was a werewolf. No such scene exists in that movie, though. And I still haven't found out if that scene was actually in a film or not.
When i was a lot younger i thought that there were creatures under my bed that would get me if i stray from my bed during the night, so i always laid dead center of the bed never to venture out to the open spaces of my room.
i used to have a bed with drawers underneath the mattress that went all the way to the floor (so there was no underneath). Anyway, there was a big narrow "drawer" that went all the way to the back that was empty, and i used to believe that if aliens or monsters came, i could hide in there and they would never be able to find me.
