When I was little i used to run and jump on my bed because i thought aliens lived under it. If i had to go to the bathroom during the night i would stand up on my bed and jump as far out as i could. Needless to say when signs came out i freaked.hahaha

IT STARTED WHEN I WAS LITTLE, I USED TO THINK THAT SOMETHING WOULD GRAB MY FEET IF THE LIGHT WAS OFF AND I WAS TOO CLOSE TO MY BED, SO I WOULD TURN OF THE LIGHTS AND RACE TO MY BED AS IF I WAS RACING THE LIGHT. SOMETIMES I DO IT NOW AS A HABIT. ALSO, SOMETIMES IF MY FEET STICK OUT OF THE COVERS OR HANG OVER THE EDGE, THAT SOMEBODY WOULD CHOP THEM OFF, SO I WOULD ALWAYS PULL MY LEGS CLOSE.

when i was about 4 or 5 i watched this show called "are you afraid of the dark?" basically, it was a few kids telling ghost stories in front of a camp fire. well, on one particular episode, they told a story of a comic book villian who came to life. he was this evil jester guy and when he laughed, blue goo oozed out of his mouth. i thought it was fine until i went to bed that night. for some reason, i thought that this guy was hiding under my bed and no matter how i got out of my bed, he would get me. i laid there hugging my stuffed animal in hysterics until my parents came in and turned the light on. then i was fine but i never watched that episode the same.

I believed (kinda still do...) that there was a slow monster and a fast monster. If you moved slow, the slow monster would eat you, but if you moved fast, the fast monster would eat you. It was a no win situation. Grrr...

I also believed that if you would stay totally under your covers, that you would be safe from the monster looming over your bed. Of course, after a while I couldn't breathe and the monster always seemed to come on hot summer nights. I sweated the bed wet, but still wouldn't take the covers off. WEird.

Up to when I was about 10 years old, I was afraid to fall asleep because I thought that the man with the yellow hat from Curious George would kidnap me.

Keep your arms and legs on the bed at night because if they go over the side the scorpions under the bed will sting you. This is still true today, you have been warned.

When I was little, I used to believe "the Cryptkeeper," from Tales form the Crypt, lived under my bed. If I didn't keep a majority of my body under the covers, he would come out and eat me or something. I don't think I ever decided what he would do.

I used to believe that there was some sort of monster living under my bed and that he would go out only at night. I used to throw lots of pillows under my bed so it would stay there and its big purple hand would not come out to pick me. This lasted until I was 20 years old!!!!!!

When I was a kid I believed that people with giant arms lived under my bed and if my feet stuck out of the blankets they would grab my feet and tickle them. I'm now 35 and still refuse to sleep without my feet being completely tucked under the blanket even though I've known for many years now there are no people under my bed.

I used to believe that there were actual monsters that lived under my bed and that they would crawl out and scare me once the lights were turned off at night. This made me sleep with my blankets over my head for fear that I might see the monsters if I accidentally opened my eyes. I was even so afraid to dangle my legs or fingers over the bed edge because of the 'monsters'. This was till I was about 17 years old!

I used to believe that there were aligators underneath my bed, despite the fact that I live in Iowa. I had 5 seconds to get from my bed to the lightswitch and turn it on (thus making the aligators "disappear", even though they would "reappear" as soon as the light was back off) or else they would come out from underneath my bed and eat my legs off. I also had a blankie protector shield to make sure they wouldn't try to do anything funny, like come up over the top and eat me while I was sleeping.

When I was a kid I used to believe that I had to the count of 10 to turn off the light and make it to my bed to get under the covers or a monster from under the bed would get me. Of course it was MY ten-count and I always made it!

When I was younger, I used to think there was an alligator under my bed, but was nocturnal. I was a messy kid, and my bedroom was always cluttered.. so there was plenty of junk under there. If I ever needed anything and couldn't find it, I made sure to look under my bed during the DAY- a sunshiny day- or the alligator might think it's night and wake up and eat me. Also like any other kid with some sort of monster under the bed- I made sure to keep all limbs from hanging off the edge of the bed... or else I'd wake up the next morning without it.

When I was younger I used to watch the animated childrens show of Beetljuice. One time a particular show scared me and I never got to watch the end of it, since then I was terrified of some unknown thing hiding under my bed. To this day if I go to bed I occasionally run and jump

I'm fifteen years old and I'm still terrified of the monstaer under my bed.
He's hiding behind all my shoes and when I feel brave enough to look for him, he disappears between the planks in my laminate floor.
