I used to sleep in the directly in the middle of my bed because I was afraid there was an octopus under my bed. For some reason I assumed his tentacles couldn't reach the middle of the bed.
When I was little, I was afraid to let my arm (or any other body part for that matter) hang down the side of my bed while sleeping because I thought gremlins would pop out and bite it.
After watching a Care Bears movie which I can hardly remember now, I remember fearing that some hand would grab me and pull me under the bed into some void if I hung an arm or leg over the edge.
This was when i slept with my mother instead of my own bed, and my little sister would always join us...Well, i had a phobia of sleeping on the outside of the bed which was closest to the door. So i'd make sure every night i'd sleep in the corner of fear that a monster or beast would appear and gobble the first his closest victim...So sadly, i was allowing my mother and little sister to be eaten before myself...I was a messed up child, what am i talking about, i still am.
When I was little I used to belive that there where monsters under my bed. And that if you had five fingers then they would eat you but, if you didnt then they whould leave you alone. lol
When I was around 5, I would pretend that Lurch from the Addam's Family was my butler. I was in bed facing the wall & "asking" Lurch to scratch my back. Then I had the thought, what if Lurch REALLY was standing there behind me???" To this day, I still don't sleep with my face toward the wall!!!
I used to believe that there was an army of hamsters under my bed, so I would jump from the opposite side of my room to get to my bed so the hamster couldn't shoot me with their little hamster guns.
I used to believe that I could trick robbers and murderers into thinking that I was either dead, because a dead sleeping kid is always normal, or by hiding under the bed, because an empty bed is also normal. :/ Thinking of this now, I was a morbid kid!
I thought there were germs under my bed!
i used to believe that there was a witch at the end of my bed, that would come out at night and try drag me away. since then i have not been able to sleep with my legs straight.
When I was a child I used to believe that when I turned the lights off before going to bed I needed to rush to go to bed before being caught by a monster.
When I was younger, i used to believe a vampire was hiden under my bed and when i slept the night, he stalked me and he want to bite me.
When I was about two years old, I no longer slept in a crib, but on the bottom bunk of a wooden bunk bed my parents got me. I saw two "faces" in the wood, on opposite sides of the bed. One was good, the other (who I named Dun-dun, as I still remember) was evil. I also used to wake up in the middle of the night, and since it was dark, I couldn't see which was the open side of the bed (there was solid wood at the head and foot, and one side was against the wall). Feeling every side but the open side, I screamed, thinking the bed had closed up and sealed me inside.
When I was about 2-3 my mom told me that as long as I was under my covers that no monsters could get me. I believed her and I still feel more comfortable all covered up.
this one isn't what i believed but what i got my cousin and sister to believe
we had just watched that movie about monsters under the bed called Little Monsters and we went to bed after that. so i was sitting on my bed and we were talking about the movie and all the sudden i threw myself on the floor and made it seem like someone sucked my under my bed! i started screaming and yelling until they pulled my out lol they were scared of under beds for a long time after that!
I used to believe that there was an alligator living under my bed
i used to think that there was a pumpkin man under my bed and he would eat my hair and people would make fun of me.
I used to believe that if I didnt hurry and get into my bedsheets at night, there would be a huge scary wolf that would reach out and grab my feet and eat me. How dumb am I ?? haha
somehow i got it in my head that, at night, there was an alligator under my bed. i thought if i lept onto the bed from a distance it wouldn't get me. i was afraid to let my arm or leg hang over the edge of the bed for fear the alligator would bite me
I used to believe that Micheal Myers and a vampire lived under my bed and that they were plotting ways to kill me.I wouldn't leave my drinks or food alone in the room becuase I thought they would put poison in them.I would also jump onto my bed (I wouldn't touch the floor near the bed) to avoid them trying to grab me and pull me under. (Actually I still believe this, and I'm 14 years old!!!)
