When i was about 4 or 5 i had watched the movie "Peter Pan" for the first time ever. I was very scared of the alligator in that movie. and i had nightmares that it would eat me instead of captainhook....after having that dream for the 2nd time i started believing that the alligator lived under my bed and that when i would go 2 get on my bed i had to jump to keep the alligator from grabbing one of my legs. I also thought that when the lights were off he could get me even easier so i never slept with my arms hanging off the side of my bed and would sleep right next to the wall. I beleivedthisfor about 3 years & i finally figured out that ther were no alligators under my bed.

At my old house there were ghost and I would always hear them under my bed at night. And if I were to hang a limb or other body part ove the edge, A bright laser light would flash and blind me for a moments notice and when I would be able to see again I would be missing the body part.

When I was a kid I use to believe that when I went to bed, and if I were to dangle my hands or feet over the edge... A monster with a chainsaw would come up and saw off the parts that were dangling over... Needless to say, I always slept in the fetal position...

My brother and I had bunkbeds pushed against the wall. I used to believe if I piled all of my stuffed animals on the open side of the bed they would protect me from any monsters or "bad men" that would try to get me during the night.

When I was about 13, I watched way too many horror movies, and for some reason I used to think that Jason fron the Friday the 13th movies, Michael Myers from the Halloween series, and Alfred Hitchcock were hiding in my room and would "get" me if I didn't turn on the light when I went in. This was made worse by the fact that I didn't have an overhead light in my room and had to walk all the way over to the lamp next to my bed and would close my eyes until I turned it on, convinced that they couldn't get me if I couldn't see them.
For some reason, I was never scared of Freddy Krueger.

I used to believe that at night, a man came through a trap door under my bed and waited for me to fall asleep so he could reach up and grab me. I always put my teddy bear in bed next to me and if I would wake up the next morning with the teddy bear on the floor (which it always was because I would roll over and it would fall off) then I would know that the man tried to grab me but got the teddy bear instead.

When I was little and wore them little night gown things to bed I used to think that a guy came around to check if they were down all the way. If they weren't he did something I don't quite remember what though..... Let's just say I always made sure it was down! Talk about paranoia!

I used to believe that if I got on the bed or slept on the bed with my shoes on, snakes would start to come up from under the bed or from inside the mattress and start to bite me and I wouldn't be able to get off the bed and I would die right there. I don't remember who told me this, but whoever did, they must have done a pretty good job of it because I believed this until I was 10+. At least I never get on the bed with shoes on now.:D

sometimes i wake up at night and i think that there are aliens watching me from outside the window. i'm so scared, i can't open my eyes... i don't even try to move any part of my body! i guess this has something to do with the stuff i was just dreaming, because i think i'm old enough to know that there are no aliens that are watching me ;-) but how can i know if i'm too scared to check?

I used to believe there was a creepy ghoulish guy under my bed that would either grab my ankles, or shoot an arrow through my ankles if i got too close to the bed. I even dreamed about getting an arrow through the ankle frequently. I got extremely good at jumping from the middle of the floor onto my bed. I was about 5 or 6
