I used to think that I could eat a lot of food at Thanksgiving, but my stomach size would show my limit. I thought that if I got too full, my belly would reach the table and my belly button would pop out!
When I was 4 -5 years I used to believe that if I drank milk I'll become a cow.
my mom told me if i ate while lying in bed or couch i would fall asleep and turn into a SNAKE. Till this day I sit-up straight while i eat.. even when i'm sick in bed!
I used to believe that there were little people living in my stomach who would play with the food I sent down, e.g., ride on Cheerios like inner tubes on the milk. If they didn't like something I ate, they would push a button to reject it.
I use to believe that when we eat the feet goes down to our toes and keeps going up. That's why we grew, the food was stretching out our bodies. If we threw up it meant that there was no more room at the time for the food.
When I was little I never connected eating and elimination. I thought that any food you ate stayed inside you until you got the flu and puked it up. Consequently, I thought eveyone had to get the flu once a year or they would fill up and be unable to eat again until they'd vomited. I also knew someone who stopped eating as a child because she saw her uvula at the back of her throat and thought that it was backed up food. She was afraid she was running out of room in her body and wanted to save what little space she had left for sweets.
I used to believe that the stomach was made of all these tubes, a different tube for a different kind of food. A cake tube, a pasta tube, a brownie tube. Things like these. Then, my sister put me in my place. :(
I use to belive that if you ate a gusher your head would really turn into a fruit!
when i was about 5 my nan told me that "my intestines were talking to eachother" whenever my tummy rumbled and i imagined little round black things sitting around a coffee table having a conference in an office. hahaa also i used to look at wallpaper and see weird faces - i was trully a deranged child.
I used to think that when I ate, food fell all the way to my feet, and the more I ate, the more my body got filled. Sometimes I was afraid of eating too much and thought the food would pile as high as to the top of my throat. I thought I wouldn’t be able to fit anymore food in me!
I used to believe that if I ate a fruit's seeds, a plant would grow in my stomach.
If you swallowed a watermelon seed it would grow in your belly
When I was younger I used to believe that if I ate too much of something I would turn into that food.
I used to think that if I ate spinach I would have a lot of strength (Popeye)
When I was young ,I used to believe that if you ate a lot of soup you would grow faster .
thx mom
I used to believe that there were three pipes in your throat. One for food, one for drink, and one for breathing.
When I was little and visited my grandma, I always used to eat alot at the dinner table. She used to say with mock-surprise "where do you put it all?! the little men down there must be shovelling it away fast". i really used to believe that little men lived in my stomach and they had to shovel all my food out of my body!
When I was little I thought there were little seats in my stomach like at the airport and I wasn't full untill all the food sat down
I also thought if I ate seeds a tree would grow in my stomach.
I thought that your body is hollow and that your food just sat in there and you slowly fulled up.Then when you got filled up you just emptied yourself in the toilet.
My 4-year-old son used to think that when you ate the food went to your legs first and filled you from the bottom up. So when it was time for dessert, he would say, I still have some room left in my right arm!
