When I was little my grandfather told me that if I didn't stick my tongue in the spot where my tooth was pulled it would grow in as a gold tooth. I was always disappointed because I never grew in a gold tooth. I also never could keep my tongue out of there!

When I was little I asked my mom "How do hiccups work?" She said "It's your lungs expanding." I took this to mean "It's your lungs getting bigger." I thought that when you were hiccuping, it meant you were getting bigger.

When i was little i always thought that when you went to sleep you didn't breathe. Once, i was watching tv, and my mom fell asleep on the couch, i heard her breathing, looked at her, saw she was asleep and totally freaked out. At first i thought she was just pretending to sleep :D

When I was very young, a sinus problem made it so I often heard my heartbeat in my ears. I always feared that what I was hearing was the footsteps of Big Foot coming to get me. I'd lie under my covers scared to death every night.

My best friend Maggie's dad told her that if she ate bread crusts it would help her learn to whistle. She told me. So we would eat everyone else's bread crusts at lunch. I didn't like the bread crust much, but I ate it thinking it would help me whistle until I was way too old.. Like 13.
