When I was around 6 or 7, I would fall asleep on the couch ALL the time. My dad would carry me to my bed after I fell asleep. I would wake up in my bed, thinking I had teleported! I believed that until I was 8.
When I was trying to get to sleep years ago I would think that if I opened my eyes there would be pirates all around me ready to shot me.
When I have a bad dream about bugs, I wake up and think that the bugs are crawling around in my bed. Then I can not fall asleep, and I crumble into a ball to keep from the bugs.
When I was about three my godmother came to visit us from Africa for a few weeks. We didn't have an extra bed, so she opted to sleep on one of those bumpy, foam pads people sometimes put underneath their sheets.
I was completely amazed that she was able to sleep on spikes and assumed everyone from Africa did so. I refused to touch her bed.
Ok, when I was little, it was 1999, and I was reading a book no Dinosaurs. I asked my dad, "Daddy, will dinosaurs be in the year 2000?" Back then, I didn't know that dinosaurs have been extinct for more than 65 million years. He said, "Maybe. If there are, I'll make sure they don't hurt you." That night, continuing for about 3 weeks, I had a dream that I was a little girlscout selling Girlscout cookies, dinosaur shaped. When I opened the box, I dreamed that the cookies came to life, and terrorized my little made up world inside my head. After the three weeks, I believed that that was really what was going to happen in the year 2000. I never wanted it to come.
For quite long time (4-17) I believed that I must cross my fingers, legs, or arms in order to stay alive while sleeping. I imagined that if I just lay straight as a stiff, I will become one.
When I was little I used to believe that if I didn't cover my ears when I was sleeping, somebody would come and let water go down my ears....
My mom used to tell me that if I took a nap that when I woke up there would be a fallen star outside. As soon as I would wake from a nap I would look out the window but there was never a star there so I figured that I must not have napped long enough.
I used to insist that I never slept, because I couldn't remember being asleep.
When I was very small I used to beleive that at the moment you start to fall asleep you actually are falling "up". As if your spirit is ripped from your body every night, I would hold on to the covers for dear life and if I started to drift I would jerk myself awake.
when i was little i was eating a packet of chocolate tiny teddys before i was going to bed so my darling daddy told me if i ate chocalate before bed i would have nightmares so i started crying i have learn since by trail and error it doesnt happen
:( : ) :p : s
I used to belief that after I'd gone to bed and the light was turned out there were these lights that came and turned into weapons and killed you if you didn't go to sleep but first would kill all your family and friends....I used to try to get to sleep as fast as possible, and sometimes actually imagined i was seeing them...I called it 'the nightmare when I'm awake'
I used to be hyperaware of the sound of my pulse beating against my ear when I'd lay my head against my pillow at night. I thought it was the sound of my bed floating on a cloud, pace by pace closer to dreamland. If my bed arrived at its destination before I fell asleep, I'd be trapped in dreamland forever even when awake. Luckily, I could bring myself back to my room and restart the journey if I opened my eyes before the trip was complete.
when i was younger, i used to believe when i slept a other world was build
When I was young I used to belive when I couldn't see someone he couldn't see me too.
So in the night when I needed to sleep I just closed my eyes the stronger I could because I belived there were monsters in my bedroom.
And I belived this because Ive never been eaten when i was sleeping.
And an another day a book at 00AM and my parents did not allow that bacause the next day i needed to woke up at 7am for the school so when my parents came in my bedroom I just put the book on my eyes, my father was kidding me but my mother was very angry.
When I got into bed at night and closed my eyes I used to think if I opened them more than three times I would have a nightmare.
I got very bored with squeezing my eyes shut everynight I just used to ignore it. It's perhaps why I have bad eyes now. :)
When I was little I knew people in england were 7 hours behind us on the clock ( I had relitives there). I also knew that if you slept time would move faster. I put these two knolages togeather to come up with the belife that we are all conected in our sleep. So if you were having a day when time seemed to slow down it ment that someone in england was not sleeping there for making your day longer
I used to believe that when I would take a nap during the day and wake up past 6pm, I was the cause of it becoming dark outside.
When I was very young (under three) I had what today can only be explained as being a dream. In it, I saw these shadows of people walking on the moon, and my dad pointed to them, telling me they were the people on the moon. I thought it was real, and for a long time I believed I actually saw people on the moon and didn't understand why my dad couldn't remember.
i used to believe that if you kept your mouth open when you slepp that spiders would drop in your mouth and would lay eggs in it. so i never leave my mouth open when i sleep still.
