I used to belive all grown ups went to bed at midnight.
at the age of 6, i was a constant victim of nightmares. then, one day, a senior gave me a crystal and said that if i looked out the window and prayed sincerely that i wouldn't get nightmares and then put the crystal under my pillow every night, i would always have a peaceful sleep. for the longest time i completed this routine before i went to bed...and i can't remember ever getting nightmares after that. i still have the crystal and it's absolutely gorgeous....
I used to believe my sister and parents lied about me talking in my sleep - until one night I shouted so loud I woke myself up!
I believed that my shoes came alive & ran around the house when I was sleeping.
When I was trying to get to sleep when I was younger I used to think that if I yawned that 3 rats would come and pour rat poisin down my throat and I would die.
I used to believe that when my mom said "Let's go to the Mattress Ball" (which meant for me to go to sleep) that I was really going to go to a Ball- and I insisted in putting on my finest attire... soon she said- "Tonight is pajama night at the Mattress Ball" !!!
When I was little, I believed that if I didn't wear socks to bed, a man from across a field near our house, would bite my feet.

I thought that there was a really tiny who lived in my brain named Peg who decides what I'm going to dream. That Peg was awsome.
my first bad dream was about this big scary-ass cloud of smoke that came into my room to get me. When I told my parents in the morning they told me not to worry it was just a nightmare. For years I thought that nightmares were scary-ass clouds of smoke that occasionally came into your room and got you.
When I was little, everytime after I would take a nap, I would wake up scared because I thought it was the next day and I had missed school!
As a young child, somewhere around three to five years old, I had read many fairy tale/ nursery rhyme type tales. Whenever someone was asleep in a bed in one of these stories, the picture showed their feet uncovered, usually hanging over the edge of their bed. After reading many of these, I (usually becoming cold during winter nights) was afraid that I would grow so tall that my feet would hang over the edge of the bed. I'm not sure WHY this nagged at me; it just did.
i used to believe that when u slept u went to the land of nod and if u didnt get a return ticket u wouldnt be able to wake up again. how strange is that???
When I was 5-7 years old, I used to think that when I went to sleep the t.v. and VCR were talking to me. How strange I was!
I used to think that our dreams were reality, and the reality we live in and remember was a dream that our brain creates to keep itself sane in the crazy world of "the real".
When i was little i used to think that any teeth that were under a pillow the tooth fairy took so every night i was terrified of sleeping with a pillow in case my head slipped under the pillow and the tooth fairy came and took all my teeth out every night my mom tried to get me to sleep with a pillow but i refused every time!
i used to think you could pick what you wanted for your dream and if you didnt then you would have nightmares
My mom, having seen this in many old movies and TV shows, believed that if your hand fell off the bed while sleeping that you would die. Because of this, she slept with her hands curled tight to her chest.
When I was a child, i loved Michael Jackson, and still do. I thought he took me to Neverland at night because all of the dreams were in there, and he would watch over me. Most of my friends told me they don't dream so I thought I was the only one Michael gave dreams to.
I used to believe that when I went to bed a group of faries would come and surround me and if any evil spirits came then they would put a curse on them and they would never come again!
