I used to beleive I could fly, I tried to show my mom by flying from my bed to the exposed light in my room. I touched the light and broke it, then I got electracuted and taken to the hospital to recover. I never tried to fly again, exept that time I jumped out of a tree to the sun...I broke my leg.

I used to think that, if you accidentally inhaled while you were blowing up a balloon, you would inflate just like it and start to float like in cartoons. Then when you exhaled you would fly around the room as you deflated.
I used to believe that you can fly if you wear a cape because all the super heros that can fly wear them. So I often put on a blanket and jump off from a table. I'm still glad I didn't try the balcony.

When i was 9 i hit my funny bone for the first time in gym class, I was shocked and figured i had gained some sort of special powers. I hit my funny bone many times that day untill i finally realized it didn't really give me any special power. Very disapointing.
I used to believe, because of watching cartoons, that I could spin my legs around fast enough that they would look like wheels and could run really fast. I also thought, because of watching cartoons also, that I could jump and stay in the air for a few seconds then run.

I used to believe that everyone could fly, they just didn't want anyone who hadn't figured out how to be able to, so they lied and said no one could fly.
I must've spent about an entire week trying to figure out how. ubluckily, nothing worked.
secretly, i still think i could fly if i tried hard enough.
When i used to play the game of hide and seek when i was younger, i used to believe that nobody could see me if i couldn't see them. Consequently i used to stand in one spot and cover my eyes thinking i had found a good hiding place.

When I was really little, I thought that what you did in your dreams was real, just in a different place that you went to at night. As I used to fly in my dreams, I told my parents that I could fly. They told me that I couldn't, so I took them outside to the patio to demonstrate. Needless to say I just did this the one time.
I belived carrots made you see in the dark

I used to believe that when I was 18, my parents would teach me how to read minds. It was a secret that all adults knew.
...that I had seen an alien ship one night while my parents were driving us home one night, and that it had followed us for awhile, and that it had transfered to me the ability to leave my body behind, in the bed while I slept, and hover above the earth, traveling back over places I had seen from the ground, except that I was then able to look down on them from above. I also used to believe, that while I was out traveling, that I could see things that I had not seen in the past, and a few glimpses of things that I would soon see. Most of the time, it would require that I travelled to these places / times repeatedly, until I could remember them after I woke up.
This ended, for the most part, upon a return trip one night, when I awoke at the bottom of the stairs, laying on the floor of the living room of my house, (my bedroom was upstairs, the living room was downstairs.) Thinking that I was on my way back out for another flyby of the place that I frequently went to, I had apparently returned to my body, and instead of levitating down the staircase, I had fallen down, and landed on my face, causing my bottom incisors to cut through my bottom lip.
I eventually learned to better control and govern what I dream about, unfortunately, and it's been a very long time since I have visited the future.
I thought that my very strict father was telepathic and knew what I was doing all the time. I was terrified he knew when I did something wrong. When I figured out he couldn't, boy did I break loose!
i somehow convinced myself if you ate a screw every hour on the hour, on a tuesday, while dancing to mozart's requiem, on the "Day of Wrath" movement, you would get god powers!

When I was little I thought the whole family was psychic because they knew when someone was at the door.
When I was 5 I got tubes in my ears and I could suddenly hear the doorbell!
I used to think my mom could hear my thoughts. I wasn't totally convinced, but it made me worry about what I was thinking sometimes. What kid needs that stress. No she didn't tell me she could hear them, I just thought of that on my own, who knows why?

My mom used to always tease that she was looking for the knob to turn down the volume on us kids. For the longest time, I thought there really was a knob someplace!
There is a scene in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves in which Snow White whipes off a foggy, dirty window so as to be able to see inside of it. I always thought that when she whiped it off, she was whiping a hole *through* it and if I were to do the same, I'd be able to stick my arm through the hole or something. I spent many afternoons fogging up windows with my breath and whiping them off, disappointed that nothing was happening.
I used to believe that if I really wanted to, I could fly.I could just think about it real hard and it would come true. I guess you could call it some sort of "Peter Pan Complex". I would have dreams about it at night, and they seemed so real. I could fly to school, fly down the hall, anywhere! It was so exciting.
