i used to believe that i was the only person that could see rain
when i was younger i used to love storm from x men because of her ability to fly and create weather change and somehow i thought that by staring at the sun long enough i would eventually become the goddess of the sun and cause weather changes too!

When I was about six or seven I remember running up to my dad and asking him how fast he thought I'd been moving. I heard "60 miles an hour". Can you imagine how proud I was? I boasted this to every kid in the playground over the next few months!
It was only a few years later - once we'd started looking at velocity at school - that I realised he must have said "six" not "sixty"...
top belief!
I used to believe that i had the special power of controlling traffic lights.
When i was 7 or 8 I thought I was able to turn traffic lights from red to green by clenching my jaw for 5 seconds.
After I found out that my special powers were no longer working I figured that I had unconciously traded them for the special powere to change the shape of clouds

Having read 'Matilda' when I was younger, I used to believe I could move things just by looking at them hard enough. One time I was in a church choir and at one practice all the parents came to watch. I put my umbrella on the edge of the stage and sat glaring at it as hard as I could, not singing, until my face went bright red, and the singing teacher (who was wearing a microphone) stopped everything to ask me: "Are you alright? Do you need to go to the toilet?"
I have never been so humiliated...

I used to believe that if you brushed your teeth enough, they would shine so brightly it would cause a supernova and then you could turn into a mermaid. (I was obsessed with mermaids at the time and really wanted to be one.) I spent hours at a time brushing my teeth and got really disappointed when nothing happened.
top belief!
I used to believe that if I jumped off of my swingset holding an open umbrella, I would fly like Mary Poppins. Good thing I made my little brother try it out first.
When I was about 8, I had this crazy thought that if I stayed in the bathtub long enough, I would turn into a mermaid.
i used to think that my parents could read my mind, and if i thought of something dirty when i was sitting next to them, they would know it, and just not say anything to see if i would think about anymore strange things
I use to believe that If I held my super bouncy ball tight spin around 3 times that I was invisible I use to sneak up on my brother and smack him in the head I never got in trouble because I was invisible muh ha ha
When I was 5 after I believed that if u jump out the window(2nd floor) with an umbrella i would land safety. Sadly I end up with a broken arm.
top belief!
I once believed that the more birds I could scare away, my invisible "FLY METER" would fill up and I would have enough power to fly. I found out crow's and sea gulls gave me more power (2 or 3 cm.).
i used to think i could fly until i stood on top of the table and fell off and break my head
I used to believe I could fly. I used to share a room with my brother, and we had bunk beds. I had the top bunk. One night I had a dream, I was flying all around the world after I rubbed a magic genies lamp and wished to fly. I woke up and it all seemed so real. So, being the 5 year old I was, I jumped at least 7 feet on to the ground and popped all my knuckles on one hand INSTANTLY. MY face hit the ground and left a small bruise. That was the day I grew up
I used to believe that I could control wind. and for an strange reason all the time I tried to use my "powers" the worked. TO MANY HOURS WATCHING X-MEN!
When I was young our television did not have a remote control, or at the very least it had been lost. However our next door neighbour's did. I became convinced that I could turn the television on and off just by winking at it, unaware that the neighbour was infact doing so with the remote control. I always wondered why it would never work on our own television.
you know when you look at a bright light too long you see colored dots infront of your eyes well i used to believe that i was the only one who could do this and that i was magic because i knew how to do it
After watching the movie Matilda, I believed that I had the power to move things with my eyes, like her. All I had to do was learn to use them. I would always try to lift a spoon or tip over a cup just by looking at it. I even tried thinking about all the times my parents were "mean" to me to bring out the power (Matilda did that too)!
Well once when I was 10 I had just played Sonic The Hedgehog Battle yah,im addicted plus im a naturel at nintendo) and you can run through trees and blocks, so I went outside and thought about it,then, I ran at a tree head on... ouch!
When i was about 6 or 7, when i had a book with pictures of people in it i would draw on their faces like spots and scars etc with a red or any other colour pen, i believed that these markings would appear on their face wherever they were in the world. I have no idea why i ever thought this.
