My dad used to tell me that if I kissed the ouside of my elbow, I would turn into a boy. I still haven't achieved it to this day.
I beieved { actually i still tend to do it } that i had the power to make objects or people fly backwards with a flick of my wrist or by squinting my eyes like the chartcer on my favorite tv show Charmed
When i was younger,i thought my finger could turn into a pencil if i sharened it.Unfortuneatly, when i tried it,my whole finger nail came off,and it didnt grow back for a month
when i first saw x-men (the film) i got so in to it i tried staring at a vase to try and make it blow up. i only stopped when my step-mum asked me what i was doin. the bad thing is, i was 13....
I used to belive that I could breath under water because I had a dream I was a mermaid.
When I was in 3rd or 2nd grade, this kid Peter said he could see through his hand. I thought I could to. You had to consentrate really hard on the fingers of your hand and you can see through them. It was just something with our eyes that made us think that we could see through our hands!
No matter how often I proved to myself I couldn't fly, every time I had a dream about flying I'd be convinced it was possible all over again. There's just some simple secret thing I'd have to do first-- usually a certain way of bending a leg or kicking just right.
I must have particularly vivid flying dreams, because I still fall back into this way of thinking after nearly every one. Sometimes for a few hours after I'm up and about!
top belief!
When I was little, my dad told me that if I held my breath long enough I would turn inside out. So I would hold my breath till my face was almost purple. When I let the air out, my dad would say, "You were so close, try again!"
From ages four to six I beleived I could fly. My sister and I would jump off the coffee table and flutter our arms as hard as we could. And I swore--for aleast one second--I flew!
When I was young I had my sister convinced, for a little while, that I had magical powers and that if she didn't do what I told her to I would turn her into a frog.
You know how when you blink while looking at the sun and then look somewhere else you can still see the afterglow thingy? When I was little I thought I had magical powers after doing this a few times. I told my mom what I thought and she told me the real junk about my 'powers' and broke my heart. To this day I dont believe in super heros or magicians or anything like that.
I used to think I could get powers by using the Weegee board. Me and my cousins once kept on asking a spirit for some, and we got them. I was about to leave my cousins house but didn't want to. So we all three concentrated and drained oil and gas out of my mom's car. Believe it or not, it appeared she was astonishingly OUT OF OIL! So she borrowed my grandma's car. I remember this as if it were just yesterday.
In my recovered 1st grade journal EXACT WORDS:
If you wish for something on a star, and shoot for with a laser, you get what you wish for!
My cousin and I used to believe we could make our own powers. We thought we could make a small scratch on something with concentration. And we thought we could direct the wind; and if we concentrated, we could charge up ourselves and run very fast. We also thought we could control people with our minds if we really tried.
When I was little I thought grown ups could fly but wouldn't tell me about it or teach me until I got older.
I thought if I said someones name 100 times I could transform into that person. Then I tried it again and it didn't work, so I decided I probably had to say their name 1,000 times. I gave up after that.
I used to believe I could turn invisible and all kinds of stuff when I made some poems. I guess I thought it was a spell or something.
when i was little i used to believe that people could read my mind and if i ever thought anything bad about them i would apologize and cover it up and say that i was thinking about somebody else. funny thing is sometimes i wonder because you never know if anyone in the room is a phsycic...lol!
When I was 5 or 6 I used to believe I had X-ray vision becasuse I could see through my hand. It turns out I was just crossing my eyes and I LOOKED like I could see through it, I was really dissapointed.
When i was about 5 years old, i used to believe that everything i thought people could hear!
