I used to believe that I could breath underwater. I would wait until I ran out of air and then drink some pool water, and my body would absorb the oxygen and allow me to stay under longer.

I used to actually think I could fly. I was a huge peter pan fan and still am. Well I would dream every now and then that he came and I flew away with him. So I'd stand on the coffee table and jump off and when I didn't fly I'd say the pixie dust wore off! This went on from the time I was 3 until I was about 6, when I dreamed a monster ate peter. I was so upset! To this day my mom tells everyone about it.

When i used to play the game of hide and seek when i was younger, i used to believe that nobody could see me if i couldn't see them. Consequently i used to stand in one spot and cover my eyes thinking i had found a good hiding place.

When I was little I used to beelive in many odd things. I used to beleive that I was an indian like pokahontis, but my name was Pikadolo. And i had the power that I could change into a tiger. I used to go around the school growling at people...I also used to beleive that since I was an indian, I could heal things. This one time I saw a tree with a broken branch, and I patched it up with snow and convinced myself that in a few days the tree will be healed...

I really used to believe that I could actually see air. No amount of arguments to the contrary could disuade me and I used to get very fustrated at people because they couldn't see it too.

I have absolutely no idea what I must have been looking at - I've tried since but can't see it anymore.

I had just gotten a new perm and a few days later, the back of my neck itched like CRAZY!! I kept itching it until my dad told me he had a magic finger.

He rubbed his magic finger on the back of my neck where it itched...and it never itched again!!

You know how when you blink while looking at the sun and then look somewhere else you can still see the afterglow thingy? When I was little I thought I had magical powers after doing this a few times. I told my mom what I thought and she told me the real junk about my 'powers' and broke my heart. To this day I dont believe in super heros or magicians or anything like that.

I used to think that if I concentrated hard enough on a star, I could make whatever I wanted come true. I stared at a star for ten minutes, thinking, "Make my house turn into a mansion, make my house turn into a mansion!" and preceded to glare at my house for half an hour. Unfortunately my house did NOT turn into a mansion and I stopped believing stars had powers ever since.

i have a friend who used to believe that she really was a squirrel - not a squirrel 24/7, but at night. She was absolutely convinced about this, and used to say thayt if i looked at her cross-eyed, i would see a squirrel. She was so totally convinced about this that i, (aged seven) was unable to convince her that no, she didn't turn into a squirrel at night and go and play with other squirrels in her garden. she used to say, when she was tired, that it was because she had been out with the other squirrels all night long. The scariest thing is that i still don't know if she still believes that!!!!!

seriously weird.

I used to believe that a light bulb would light up if I put it in my mouth. I guess this belief started when on Small Wonder (I forget what episode) Ted Lawson used Vicki the Robot to test a light bulb by putting it in her/its mouth.
