when i was younger, i used to think that i could fly. my playground had a hill by one side of it, and for ages all i did was run off the edge of the playground and launch myself into mid air, and obviously fall to the ground. it was only when some even younger children, laughed at me for doing so, that i stopped *blush*
i used to think that if you held the same pose as someone in a picture (or poster) for one minute, you would trade lives with them! i always tried this with britney spears!
you know when you squint and light that is far away looks like little rays? I used to believe I had a special power to see light from far away. I would sit in the front seat with my mom as she was driving and tell her when cars were coming from what I perceived as an extreme distance. If the car arrived shortly, I just thought the car was moving extra fast.
My sister and I used to believe that if you drank and got durnk you could actully fly. One day morning after my parents bridge night we found a half glass of some whisky and we tried out our theory. It didn't work
i believed, when i was younger, i had a magic finger.it was my first finger (Next to the thumb), on my right hand.
i used to open gates when walking with it and let my family through.
was fun...i really belive it was magic too...
When i was little i thought i had special powers of healing in my elbow. i have no idea how i thought that, but whenever someone was sick i would say "ill use my special power in my elbow!"
I used to think I had magical powers because I knew when the stoplight would turn green.
My brother and I used to think that the only thing you had to do to be able to fly was have feathers. So we would hold a feather pillow in each of our hands and take turns jumping off the couch and flapping our arms.
i usedto belive that if you ate a paperclip you would be like the man of steel. um....... it didn`t go well.
My best friend and I used to pretend that we could control unseen spirits with our minds. One windy day, we sat under some trees and I told her I would make a pinecone fall. A gust of wind knocked a pinecone off and it fell on her head. We were convinced for years that we had special powers and would always try to practice them.
I used to have the notion that all people could hear what others are thinking, so I always was very careful about what I thought. After a few years of believing that, I came to the conclusion that only certain people could hear what others are thinking since I couldn't hear anybody's thoughts. However, because these people don't look any different from anybody else, I still had to be very careful about what I thought. I still think those certain people are out there, but I've managed to convince myself that they don't preoccupy themselves with my thoughts because there are other people whose thoughts are more interesting. ...once in awhile though, I still watch what I'm thinking, in case They are listening.
I used to believe I could control water. Everytime it used to rain I used to concentrate on the clouds and it would stop. My friend was amazed. And when I was in the shower I looked at the top bit of the shower and it stopped coming out. The thing was the pipe was clogged LOL.
When i was in preschool, my friend and i loved the show sailor moon. We believed that we were sailor scouts and we couldn't tell anyone until we were 16.
we got over it 2 year later. we still luagh, though.
When I was younger I honestly though that I could make a shrinking machine with my Receiver, VCR & a Microphone.
When I was little I used to think that my mom was a mermaid because she never went swimming with me
I used to believe that if I jumped off the
picnic table, flapped my arms, and really
concentrated, that I could fly.
I must have had a dream when I was a little girl that I could levitate by flapping my hands whilst jumping in the air. For ages I thought this was true and then tried to show my brother who clearly thought I was mad. As did I when I fell back to earth without so much as a second in the air, I was totally convinced I'd shown him before. Very disappointing!
When I was young, maybe 6 or 7, I believed that I was psychic and could predict which way my sandal would land if I kicked it off (right side up or not). My Uncle Michael pointed out that it landed the same way almost every time. He's also the one that told me there is no Santa.
I used to believe that people could fly during thunder and lightning, because I dreamt this once
I used to believe that if you took a broom outside and said, "Star Light Star bright the first Star I see tonight I wish I may, I wish I might have the wish I wish tonight. I leaned the broom against a ladder and wished that it would become a flying broom. It never did (but I learned from a friend it was because I looked back for a second time at the star I'd made the wish on. That made the wish null and void.) I have yet to be able to NOT look at that star after I've made my wish.
