I USED TO BELIEVE THAT IF YOU STARED AT A PERSON, THEY COULD NOT TELL YOU WERE STARING AT THEM. PRETTY STUPID

When I was in the 4th grade my teacher was calling on me in class and I rolled my eyes at her (appearently, I don't remember it). She got angry and said "Don't you roll your eyes at me!" At the time, I didn't know what 'rolling one's eyes meant' so I replied quite insistently "I'm not rolling my eyes!" I began to move my eyes around in a clockwise fashion. "This is rolling your eyes!"
I know, however, what rolling one's eyes means now.

I had this weird muscle in my eye, not allowing it to look up, as in the top of my head. All other directions were great, but it wouldn't go up. I would send both eyes in different directions with it and scare my classmates until one day my grandmother yelled at me for it, saying that they would stick that way forever.
Remember drawing all over yourself as a kid? My aunt told me that the ink would get me sick and pencil lead wouldgive me lead poisoning and would kill me.

For awhile, I went without realizing that people *myself included!* blinked. It just didn't occur to me, until one day I noticed my aunt blinking, and asked if she was tired. She told me she was blinking, and I was so confused! lol. Afterwards, I promised i'd make a concious effort to blink, even though I did it naturally anyway. :-P

i used to believe that if you rolled your eyes back and someone hit you on your back your eyes would stay like that forever..so every time i rolled my eyes back i would make sure no one was behind me..wait..is that true?

I used to believe that if I was looking at something no one else could see it - what I could see was taken up by my eyes and other people would see a blank spot where I was looking!!

When I was like 6 or 7...I thought there were little people living inside people's eyes and they had there own little town and they would watch me. So whenever I looked in someones eyes I would be scared.

One day when I was in the first grade, the school nurse walked into the classroom and announced she was going to check our eyes. Keeping my head down and sinking lower and lower into my tiny desk, I feared for my sight. I thought she was going pop my eyeballs right out of my head and examine them with her bare scaley hands!

I used to think that "cross-eyed" meant that people had X's for eyes, like dead people in cartoons.

when I was little I -for some reason- believed that people couldn't see me when I hid under tables and such .. and was mighty surprised when they did.

When I was little I always believed that if you hid somewhere, even if it was behind something as thin as a pole, and you couldn't see anyone else then they couldn't see you either. I remember hiding behind something really thin and asking my friend if she could see me and of course she said yes. That pretty much caused me to believe otherwise.
