When I was in the 4th grade my teacher was calling on me in class and I rolled my eyes at her (appearently, I don't remember it). She got angry and said "Don't you roll your eyes at me!" At the time, I didn't know what 'rolling one's eyes meant' so I replied quite insistently "I'm not rolling my eyes!" I began to move my eyes around in a clockwise fashion. "This is rolling your eyes!"
I know, however, what rolling one's eyes means now.

I used to believe that the reflection you see in the other persons eyes when you talk to them were actually angels living in their souls.

When I was in elementary school I read a story about making wishes on loose eyelashes. I wanted to make lots of wishes so I pulled out my eyelashes so I could use them to make wishes. My mom had to take me to the doctor because I got little scabs on my eyelids from pulling my eyelashes out.

I used to believe that when I closed my eyes, my eyeballs would roll over so that they were looking inside my head. I wondered why I could never see my brain, but decided that it was too dark in there to see anything. I later believed that I had the power to see things even with my eyes closed. Of course I eventually figured out that I was squinting, not actually looking through my eyelids.

When I was 6, a 13 year old neighborhood girl told me that if I touched the pupil of my eye that I would die. She went on to say that she had done it once, and she had died! I believed her for many years, until I heard about contact lenses. I still carry a bit of a phobia though!

Since all the smart people in the cartoons I would watch wore glasses, I assumed that my dad was smarter than my mom, since he wore glasses and she did not.

you know how when you look at a bright light sometimes and then shut your eyes you can see little colourful dots. Well i used to think these were called fuzzies and that they were like a little community in your closed eyelids.

When I was little I was always told that eating a lot of carrots would be good for my eyes, so I always ate carrots. Well, I NOW WEAR GLASSES!!! Apparently someone lied to me.

My mom used to tell me that she could tell that I was lying because I had little lights in my eyes... and she still teases me because I believed her!

When i was younger i believed that if you did get rid of the crud in your eye right when you woke up, then your eyes would get clogged and fall out like they were on a very long piece of pink yarn and if they fell out you would have to hold your eyeballs in your hands for the rest of your life. I also thought that pink eye shadow was so cool and because i wasn't allowed to wear make-up i put bubble gum on it, so the color (not the gum) would stick.
