When I was like 6 or 7...I thought there were little people living inside people's eyes and they had there own little town and they would watch me. So whenever I looked in someones eyes I would be scared.

One day in elementary school we were playing outside on the playground when i got something in my eye. So i went into the bathroom to get it out and to my surprised found, what i believed to be, a splinter in the corner of my lower eyelid. Well, i've come to learn that "splinter" is really the tear duct for when u cry.

I used to rub my eyes all the time when I was little. My mom got frustrated with me, and told me that if I rubbed them too much, they would fall out. We were at the eye doctor when she said it, and I remember that he nodded in agreement with her. I was scared for years after that that if I touched my eye, even if there was something in it that was bothering me, it would fall out. :(

My nephew, age four, recently told me that eyebrows are the work of the devil, who created them so people could make angry and mean faces. Otherwise, we'd be happy and good all the time.

I used to believe that if we squinted during a storm, we could block our eyes, and my neighbor had a problem with the eyes that made him squint, and I was thinking he had squinted during a storm, So one day I asked him why he had squinted during a storm and he got upset and fought over me, I did not understand why he got angry and I understood 5 years later when I asked my parents if it was not true that we could block our eyes and that they told me that it was a myth to prevent children from squinting .Now I find this stupîd and I do not know how I could believe that for so long and how I could be so naive.

You know when the sun goes behind a cloud and it suddenly turns darker? Well, I used to believe that this only happened when I closed my eyes. Therefore, when I was sleepy and blinked a lot it would be getting darker, and when I went to sleep it would go completely dark.

When my daughter got her first loose tooth we explained to her that it was her baby teeth.Once she lost her baby teeth(not alll of them only 2) she said she was glad it was only her teeth...But then i said why are you glad You still have your baby eyes they fall out like you teeth...when they fall out there is nothing there like when you loose your teeth and and then it grows in little by little then you'll have your grown up eyes-so from then on she started wiggling her eyes to see if they were loose!

When I was younger, I believed that only people with blue eyes could see every color because their eyes were "clear" enough to see colors (I have blue eyes, so this made sense) and that people with brown or green eyes only saw those respective hues. Every one in my family had blue eyes so I never had a chance to really ask anyone else.
