In fourth grade, I used to believe that I had the amazing power of making my vision go blurry. So much so, that I even bragged to an eye doctor about it, and made him run a test or two to examine my eye while I made it go blurry. I figured out a few years ago that I wasn't just blurring my vision, I was just unfocusing my eyes. Somehow I never noticed that when I made things in front of me go blurry, the things in the distance came into focus.
I thought that blind people were called not-sees
As a child a, I remeber my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles telling me that if I crossed my eyes that that one day they could get stuck that away. They also said that it was permenant unless a horse was going to kick me.

Sometime around my gradeschool years, I remember learning a really neat trick that was (for lack of a better word,) popular. I don't quite remember all of the details, but it was something to the effect of having someone close his/her eyes and look downward for a while, then think of a number between 1 and 3 (inclusive), have them open their eyes and look upward. Then, by looking closely at the bottom part of their eyes, there would be either 1, 2 or 3 veins prominent, depending on which number they had been thinking of. Personally, I always found this fascinating, but as far as I can tell now, it either doesn't really work, or it only works with kids...
when i was little i was always told i had such big beutiful eyes. when i was a little older (and people still always complimented me on my eyes) i saw someone at super cuts who's eyes were buldging out of their eye sockets. i was afraid that i would look like that when i was older. so i told my mom that, and she explained that the person had some sort of surgery or something because she had some kind of disease. i was relieved, but to this day i feel bad for that lady.
My Dad told me that if I put my head under the blanket when I went to bed, that my eyes wouldn't be able to open in the morning. When my brother was born, I was so afraid the blanket would accidentally go over his face and then he'd be blind!
