Up until I was about 9, I thought that if you were to chop off your arm or leg, you wouldnt see blood muscles etc...you would see wires and electric sparks poking out. I wouldn't hesitate to tell my younger relatives this, and my three year old cousin thinks it now!

I use to think that whatever your favorite color was, that was the color of your blood. My favorite color back then was green, but whenever I told someone they asked why mine was red then and I never had an explanation.

I used to believe that when evermy heart pounded too hard that you could see it push against your chest. This also led me to believe that it was trying to escape 'cause it worked too hard.

I have a heart shaped birthmark on my elbow. When I was little my family would tell me that it was poop. I would sit in the bathroom scrubbing my birthmark trying to get it off. Sometimes, i would scrub so hard it would bleed.

As a young boy I was told that if you make a fist with your hand, your heart will also assume the shape of a fist.

And to boot, the thought of it really disturbed me, so I tried to avoid making fists or clenching my fingers whenever possible.

My mother would get us girls to cross our legs together when we were sitting down (she didn't like us having our legs splayed apart - cuz our undies showed!) by telling us "rats will be attracted to you and crawl up" if you didn't keep your legs closed!

i used to believe that when i was a kid when i slept with the covers off my legs or arms (especially my feet) that if i fell asleep with them out that little gnomes with butcher knives would come and cut them off. then i thought that they would take my parts to other gnomes and sell them to eat parts of me. Yea i was a weird kid i know i admit it.

I used to believe that all of the food a person ate went into their legs. As their legs filled up, they had to get them cut off and replaced with newer, longer legs: that's how people get taller!

If people got lazy and didn't change them, then the legs just got fat.

Some people couldn't afford 2 whole new legs, so they would get one new one and take off the other, full leg (amputees).

When I was little I used to believe that when you lost a tooth, if you didn't stick your tongue in the gap of where it was a gold tooth would grow in there. My Grandfather had told me that and no matter how hard I tried, I could never keep my tongue out of the gap. Needless to say I never grew in a gold tooth!!
