One of my favorite games growing up, however dorky this may sound, was this game where we would put these stickers on the body to match the place they really went. (Actually, this game helped me later on in Biology class, even though i did fail.) All the different part were different colors so i just assumed that inside our body, these were the colors. I also assumed, becuase the game and the stickers were flat, our body parts were also two-dimensional. Soon after, i realiezed they weren't flat, but it took me a long time to figure out that they werent those colors. Even now i wonder...

When I would stumble as a little kid, my grandfather would say, "Look out! You'll slip and rupture your gizzard!" I didn't realize until I was 14 years old that humans have teeth, don't swallow stones in order to grind raw grain, and therefore, don't NEED gizzards.

When I was little my sister told me that my mom was taking me to the dentist and then I would never have any teeth again. Fortunatly that didn't happen.

When I was around 4 or 5 yrs old I thought the metal buttons on the pocket corners of jeans were rivets, and couldn't understand how adults could walk around in them not being hurt by all the rivets that were screwed into their thighs and buttocks.

There used to be an advert on tv were a child got run over and his mother, having seen this dropped the eggs she was carrying. The advert showed the eggs hit the ground and smash just after the child is hit so I used to think that people had eggs inside them rather than blood.

When I was little, I met a person who lost her fingers on one of her hands because they got caught in a fan. I thought she was secretly a Powerpuff girl.

my kindergarten teacher was born without a full arm (I don't remember if it was the left or right one). She had all of her upper arm and the elbow area, but her arm didn't grow past the elbow. She was able to move her elbow, which was really freaky.

I believed that if I touched the end of her stump my arm would shrivel up like hers. I was so scared of it that I would make sure to never stand or sit on her stump side. On my birthday she tried to give me a big hug and I freaked out. I wouldn't go to sleep that night because I was sure I would wake up with just a stump.

I used to believe that the bone on my wrist was a tumor. I discovered it there when I was in first grade and was afraid to tell the teacher, afraid I had cancer.

When I was little I believed that your heart would beat because there was a little girl and a little boy inside with hammers trying to beat their way out. I knew that when you died that your heart stopped beating so I thought that that was when one of them got out. So I thought that the one that got out first was the next baby to be born.
