top belief!
when i was little, i used to believe that there were two kinds of girls: the ones that were born with hair fringe and the others that weren´t.
top belief!
i used to believe that moustaches grew directly out of a mans nose, and that beards were sort of combed nasal hair .gerald of wales.
I used to think that if I pulled all my hair out, I would look like Colonel Klink (Hogans Heroes)
I used to think that you either had long hair or you had short hair. If your hair was long, you could cut it, and it would grow back, but everyone had a certain limit. I think this had something to do with all the adults around me having the same hairlength all the time. I thought it was unfair that women with short hair could never be ballerinas.

When I was a little boy, I thought that hair was made out of peanut butter.
top belief!
I used to believe that when I got old my red hair would turn pink before it went white.
my parents used to tell me that if I chewed on my hair, that little strands of
it would slip down my throat and make a giant hairball in my stomach, and that
I'd have to have it surgically removed. I quit sucking my hair after that!

I used to think that I had rats living in my hair because when my dad used to brush it when it got tangled, he would always comment that it was like a rats nest and would make squeaking sounds of the "rats" escaping from the brush. Because my back was turned to him, I never doubted it for a second!
I was born with white/blond hair, and I mean white!!! When I was little my mother thought there was dirt on my scalp b/c my roots looked dark, she would scrub & scrub until finally she realized that my hair was getting darker! So, for many years I would cower away when someone complemented me on my hair 'cause I thought it was dirty!!!!
When i was little i used to chew the ends of my hair(gross i know!) and my mum used to te me that if i did it my hair would turn in to snakes in my tummy and eat me insides. i dont think i ever did it again.
I used to be horribly scared of people (inretrospect, men) with beards of any kind. They all looked quite scarry to me. I believed that they were all 'bad'.
My aunt had several kids, all older than me, and one of them, to this day, has a long, unkept beard. His brothers used to give me a water gun and convince me to go downstairs to the basement and 'shoot' their bearded brother.
I got over my fear when he gave me a plush bunny rabbit and let me in to his room (which I still have today).
Until I was about 12 I used to believe that girls could get hairballs and choke from sucking on their hair.
As I had long hair as a child my Mum would often say that there were lots of knots in it. I used to believe that the knots were black and white bees bodies stuck in your hair. Imagine the disappointment when I realised what they actually were...
I used to wonder why my dad's hair was all gone on top. I thought his sisters pulled it out when he was little.
top belief!
I used to believe that moustaches were actually just long flowing nose hair. I thought it was rather disgusting.
I used to kiss my dad goodnight on his (bald)head as my mum said it would make his hair grow back. It never did! Funny that!
My kindergarten teacher told us kids that all of your hair would fall out if you got glitter in it. That way, no kids would try and shake glitter onto each-others' heads.
I used to think I could have my hair cut long ...
