when i was little, i used to think that if you did a certain number of bad things a day then you would die and go to hell
You know how when it's sunny and blue skies but there are those white clouds in the sky? And it looks like there's a beam coming down from it? Well I used to believe that those beams were beaming someone who just recently died, up to heaven. I guess I still like to think that.
I used to believe that you had to have your eyes closed and your tongue sticking out for you to be dead!
I used to belive that when it was a hazy day and the sunshine was coming through the broken clouds in such a way that made visible light beams through to the ground-- that God was raising up all the souls of the dead people to heaven.
When I was five and my baby brother was about 1 I can remember tickling him so much that he was out of breath. My mother came along and said be careful you'll tickle him to death, consequently I never tickled him again fearing that I would kill him.
On the way to my kindergarden my mom and I always went through a cemetary, I was always asking many questions about everthing. So one day I came home to my dad very pleased and said: "Daddy! When you die we're going to put you in the ground and grow vegetables on you!" My own little version.. Dad vas not as pleased as me with the idea..
When I was 5, my grandfather died of a heart attack on the street. I don't remember how grown ups may have explained it to me, but I came away with the impression that a heart attack meant a wild bear attacked you on the street. I was 13 I think before I finally knew the truth.
when i was about 4 i seriously thought that after you were buried i thought these huge tubes were connected to the casksets and would either suck you up or down considering how you behaved when you were alive. although thats what i believed i was always confused as to why i never saw any of these tubes..i guess i figured it happened at night when no one saw.
when i was about six years old my grandparents told me that when you die, you will soon be born again in a diferrent family...
but the sad part is you will forget about your former family...
hehehe....
can i die now??......
I used to believe that everyone lived to be exactly 100 years old, and they died just before their 101st birthday.
When my brother and I were little we thought that when people died they would say "die" then fall over and be dead.
When I was young, we went to a funeral for a neighbor of my grandparents. I had asked my mom how she died and she said she had something growing inside of her. Not long before the funeral my grandfather had told me not to swallow watermelon seeds because they would grow in my stomach. For a long time I believed she had swallowed a watermelon seed. (She had died of cancer)
That the dead were sleeping 💤 and that once I went to the funeral I saw/seen them taking a very long nap I was crying 😠once they were not really sleeping cuz the never wake up
our mother
told us that if you stepped on a sharp object like a pin or tiny piece of glass, that it could go thru your blood veins to your heart and kill you.
My oldest sister was killed on Christmas Eve about a month before my third birthday. For some reason, I decided that I was going to die during the night when I turned 17! Imagine my surprise when I awoke the next morning ~ alive! Ever being the optimist, I decided I would die the night I turned 21! I gave up believe THAT when I woke up and was actually 21 and never believed it again. Also had a 7 mo. old niece who died when I was 7 or 8. She hadn't been baptized and I was told she was going to Purgatory. Wasn't sure what that was, but always thought she was in the celler and was afraid to go down there unless there was a light on. Thank goodness I have different beliefs now!
I used to believe that a graveyard was a place where you would get killed. Since I was always told that was where the dead bodies were, I believed that were guys that shot you once you walked in.
when i was little i thought that when we die we become stars and watch over our family that is still alive
I used to think that everyone in the world lived for exactly the same amount of time, 100 years, and then just dropped dead on their one hundredth birthday.
wen i was little my sista told me my grandma died because she drank too much ribina later on i found out she was an alcoholic
I uswed to believe that as long as someone lived to be 100, it was ok and you didn't have to be sad about it.
