When I was 7, I had my first experience with death. My great-grama died. At the wake - I met a lot of people I had never met before. I was standing with my grama (my great grandmother's daughter). Talking to a lady that was standing with us - I said "That's my grama over there in that box". The lady just happened to be my great grandmother's sister.
When I was young, I used to believe that if someone died the man or women lived
enternally on the sky..
I used to believe when you die after 7 days, you'll come back home to see family and eat your favourite food.
i used to think that when u grow up, u would grow so high and live in the clouds instead of dying
The fear of dying for the pool
When i was little i was scared to die, of course i was scared but i was very very scared that there was no pool in paradise.
Because when i was little i liked to swim .So when i thought about it i was sad.
Now i am still afraid of death if but no longer wonder for the swimming pool.
When I was younger, I used to think that all people I meat in my life were actors, and I would see them when I die.
( I was stupid )
At my first ever camping trip I was horrified to see a small piece of burnt twig in the potato billy. I pointed this obvious hygiene hazard to the scoutmaster. He simply used his knife to flick the offending ember out of the boiling water and offered the following advice. "Son, it takes a ton of s**t to kill you: and then it's got to fall on your head."
when I was little I believed that you could die before realizing it...amost like that Robert Crane book. You could get hit by a car and you'd think that the car missed you. You would go on living but in another universe you would have died at that instant. this would keep happening an infinate number of times. I also wondered who god's mommy and daddy were.
i used to believe that when you thought of dying someond died

why as a child i thought and believed this, but i believed i would die at the age of 28....
i am now 29, but when i was 28 i did lose my dad and a pregnancy....so, i guess parts of me died.
if a bell dosen't ring when you try ringing it you will die and to this day i have never rang a bell.
I thought death was when someone gets put into the ground, like a giant mud bath, and wakes up when they feel like it.
I used to believe that when you died, you went into an endless and dreamless sleep.

I remember as a very small child going with my parents to see my dying grandfather, the bed was, in my memory, so very high, I thought he was like the princess and the pea and had to have hundreds of mattress'.....needless to say it was just because I was 'wee'!!!!
When I was about 5 years old one of those grocery store tabloids had a tv show. It was so close to how regular news was that in my little mind I thought everything they said was fact. Everything from bat babies to talking dogs. One night they said that there was a giant bomb somewhere in a cave in Africa that was set to go off in the year 2000. Needless to say I believed it (probably even more so since the had PICTURES...which looked like a giant clock). I cried and repented for weeks. I even planned out my life expecting to die at 14, since that's how old I would be.
I think my belief started to fade a bit when I was about 11, but after the ball dropped I still pinched myself to make sure I was still there.
When I was a kid I believed that everyone lived to 100, then died. Tidy mind...
My friend told me that her dad told her, once a few years ago that when small children shoot a gun that their heads pop off, or they go deaf. But, I know plenty little kids that have hunted with guns. I think he just doesn't want her near a gun....
