I was told by my sister, and I used to believe, that if I swollowed chewing gum i'd die.
Like.. if I swallowed it more than 2 or 3 times.
when i was a child, i used to believe that if i swallowed a chewing gum it will make my internal organs stick together...and if i didn't eat 2 eggs it will affect the sight in my eyes as one egg for each eye... i also used to believe that the chocolate i found on x-mas tree was put by santa clause at night...i believed if i bent down from balcony, the earth will send a big rope up and pull me down to z ground....and i thought dad was 100 years old and that there's nothing he doesn't know :)
My cousin's mom (my aunt) used to tell her that if she swallowed gum, she would die. My aunt (about 50 years old) actually DOES believes this.

wen i was 7-8 i used 2 belive that u must NEVER swallow bubble gum bcoz it would get stuk in ur throat and i would choke and die
i still believe it 2 this day
i beleived that if you swallowed too much gum, it would clog up your stomach and you would starve

I used to believe that is you ate chewing gum you'd die so I never went near it. I screamed and cried when my big sister ate it as I thought she'd die! To this day I can say I have NEVER chewed gum.
