I like the crusts on bread and one day obviously joking I told my children that the crusts (the two ends not the bit around each slice) were poisonous, but I would eat them to protect them... Well months later I started to notice that the crusts were never eaten, it appears they had decided to leave them just in case.

My mother always told me that I had to eat my crusts-she said it was the healthiest part of the bread, and it would make my teeth stronger. The other day I was about to tell my little girl to eat her crusts-and then I remembered what my mother had told me when I was younger-I just realized now that she was just wanting me to eat my crusts!

I remember being over at my best friend's house when I was in kindergarten, and we were eating sandwiches. I got her mom to cut the crusts off for me, and Kymberly (my friend) tried to convince me to eat them by telling me that crusts made you whistle good. Being not able to whistle, I thought it was because I didn't eay my crusts. So I started eating them...but to this day, I can barely whistle.

At a younger age I would never eat the crust on a slice of bread. I was under the impression that it was burnt and old.

I used to believe that bread crusts helped your hair and nails grow. Eventually, in 3rd grade I found out, and even though i knew it wasn't true, i still told it to my friends because I hated it when people wouldn't eat their crusts, and they believed me!

I don't like bread crust and didn't when I was little either. My dad always said that it would put hair on your chest as a joke and up until I was 8 I beleived it. Though, I still hate crusts.

I used to think that the heal of the bread had no crust on it. This lasted until about age 5, but i managed to convince my younger brother of it also, and he believed it long after i realised the truth.

I used to believe that bread crust had more vitamins in it than the rest of the loaf. My dad said so, and afterward, i never asked him to cut off my crust anymore.

My mom used to tell us to eat the skins of things like apples and potatoes, because she said that's where all the vitamins are. She also always made us eat the crusts of our bread, for the same reason - it took me an embarassingly long time to figure out that scam.

My dad used to tell me that I had to eat the crusts on bread. When I asked why he would explain to me that eating the crust would put "hair on your chest".
