i used to believe that if you swallowed a seed from a piece of fruit such as an apple or water melon, especially, a tree would grow in your belly.

When i was younger i thought that if you swallowed a seed, a fruit tree of the same type of fruit would grow inside my stomach, eg if i ate an apple seed, an apple tree would grow. It would then pop out of my mouth. I never figured it was wrong, even when nothing came out of my mouth...
