When I was little, my stepmother told me that if I ate a watermelon seen, I would grow a big fat watermelon in may tummy and I would get really sick. Well, I had a watermelon eating contest and tried very hard not to eat any, but then I started to feel sick because I thought I ate one and so it had me scared to death!!
when i was around 4 or 5 i used to believe that you could eat a watermelon slice whole, chew it, and spit out the seeds like in the cartoons. i was pretty disappointed when i tried that out
I thought that you could smash watermellon seeds and feed them to fairys
when i was about 4-6 years old i thought if you ate a seed it would grow inside you.
one time i was about 5 i accidently swallowed a water melon seed so my brother told me 'dont drink or eat anything untill you pooped otherwise when has no more space to grow in it would come out all the holes in my body'
later i pooped and then my bro' told me 'becareful of the toilet cause they now live in the toilet you pooped in and if i sat there to long they would bite my but and if i fell in they would eat me!'
My mom always told me, "Don't eat the black seeds from the watermelon or one will grow in your tummy!" I always believed her, too...but after a while, I thought, "Wouldn't I have to eat soil, too, so it could grow?"
When i was about 3 years old, my dad came home one day and i saw he was holding a watermelon. (i've never seen one before) i yelled out WOW THAT'S A BIG CUCUMBER!

My belief is a common one; I used to think watermelons would grow inside my belly if I ate watermelon seeds. What is weird is that I'd try to eat all the seeds, wet my belly and lay on the sun to try and make the watermelon grow.
I thought pregnant women had done that successfully.
I just found out three days ago, that it worked. My "watermelon" is now growing inside my tummy.
My mom was pregnant with my little brother..
It was fourth of July and we were eating watermelon. I had swollowed most of the seeds and my mom says "You should be careful Melissa, Eating watermelon seeds makes you grow watermelons like this" And she pointed at her stomach.
So ever sense I am sure to spit out the seeds when eating watermelon.

When I was a kid, I didn't bother spitting out melon seeds, and swallow them instead. When my Aunt caught me at it, she told me that plants will start growing in my stomach. I used to imagine it coming out of my mouth the next morning...
Until I was about ten (!) I used to believe that watermelons grew on trees.

I used to believe that if you ate watermelon seeds, a watermelon would grow in your stomach. It made sense to me because i just thought that a pregnant woman ate some watermelon seeds by accident.
