I thought that the watermelon seed would go into your belly and grow into a watermelon and then turn into a baby! I was scared to death to eat watermelon and I still to this day do no eat the seeds!!!!!!!!!
My best friend thought that if you swallowed a watermellon seed, you'd grow a baby and that was how people became pregnant. She didn't eat watermellon for many years.
She also thought that moonbeams came out of her bellybutton at night.
My grandpa has a really big stomach, and when i was little he told me and my sister that if you swallowed watermelon seeds that one would grow in your tummy. Then he'd say that it's too big to be pooped out and it would stay in there for the rest of your life. After that, he used to pretend to swallow the seeds (but we believed him) and that's why we thought his stomach was so big.
When I was 4 my 5 year old brother told me if I swallowed a watermelon seed and then ate some
dirt that I could grow a watermelon in my stomach.
So natually I did it. I looked at my belly and could've
swore that it was growing. I got scared and told my
mother about it and she said that I would be OK and I couldn't grow a watermelon in my stomach.
But for a long time I still thought there might be one
growing in there.

When I was a little girl, I used to believe if I ate pips of watermelons, I would have a watermelon in my belly until I ate a lot and that nothing happened !

When I was about 4 I used to believe that when you swallowed a seed from any fruit or vegetable that it would grow in your stomcah.
My older sister used to believe that if you swallowed the seed of a watermelon, you would get pregnant; she doesn't eat watermelon to this day!!!
when I was young my mom would tell me that if you eat a seed from like a watermelon or something, a plant will grow out of the top of your head.
I used to think that if you ate a water melon seed a plant would grow inside you.I still spit out the seeds to this day (out of habit:P) My mum also used to tell me if you ate the green part you would get sick, so one day when i ate some of the green part i ran around the house saying i was gonna die!
i used to believe when I saw a Pregnant Lady, that she must have eaten a watermelon, and the seed grew a watermelon in her tummy.... I remember sitting next a "ready to pop, lady" hoping she'd bring that huge melen to the next church picnic!!! (she had triplets 10 days later.....I was disappointed).
when i was in kindergarten i was eating watermelon and swallowed a seed. my teacher told me a watermelon would grow in my stomach and i was so terrified that i started crying and had to leave the room. to this day i make sure not to swallow watermelon seeds even though i know it's impossible for a watermelon to grow in my stomach.
when i was little i some1 told me that there was a specific number of black watermelon seeds you could swallow ( i think it was 3) after that you would choke and die.

When I was little I believed that if you ate the white part of the watermelon rind you would die. I have no idea where that came from.
