I used to believe that my dad was the guy on those Brawny paper towles. Now i look back and i realize that the only thing in common is that they both have a mustache. They dont look alike AT ALL

When I was about 4 or 5 years old, my mom, and I would go to the grocery store. On the way home in the car, I would sometimes wonder if the woman driving the car was really my mom or a "stranger" who just looked like my mom but was actually kidnapping me.

Waking my mum up is never a good idea, so when my dad told my sister and I that the Incredible Hulk had broken into our house looking for a warm bed only to wake up my mum and be chased out of town, not only did we believe him but we wouldn't talk to our mum as she'd robbed us of our chance to meet him!
Now, I was a one of those 'nerdy' booksmart kids who thought they knew everything. One time, we were celebrating my Uncle's Dad's birthday and I was pigging out on the cake. My Mom's friends were talking about dating and I said 'I'm gonna be the person every guy wants to go out with!' My mom's friend Ed said 'Isn't that a little vain?' I shook my head and to,d him 'It's because all the guys don't have to spend money on me' Ed asked why and I told him it's because I was allergic to metal. So, instead of a guy showing up at my door with jewerly, I prefer he just bring money!
They laughed so hard I thought my mom was gonna burst. I spouted out 'What's so funny?!?' Ed laughed and said: 'That's called Prostitution honey.' To this day, I'm still embarrassed about it.

When i was a kid my mum told me that i was an accident so in my lil child mind i thought that there was an accident as in car accident and that i was born in it
When I was little, because they looked a lot alike, I thought my dad was Howard Cunningham from Happy Days. I saw him leave for work in the morning, and then in the middle of the day I saw him on TV for a half an hour with his TV family, and then he came back home to us, his real family, in the evening. This made me really happy because I thought when I grew up, I'd get to be the Fonz, and they'd have to give me a motorcycle.
When I was about 2 or 3, my older sister would never like me to go out with my dad when she was going out, so she would tell me that there was a big monster outside who would eat little kids like me, so when they would be outside i'd watch from the window and my sister would warn me when the monster was coming and i'd run and hide!haha
that my brother was a girl and when he was 12 i thought he was pregnant and was going to have a baby
When i was a little toddler i used to belive that U had to pick whether u wanted to be a kid or a mommy or a grandma... I used to cry deciding wotch one....
when i was little i used to think that every old woman was my granny. so whenever we'd go to the beach or anywhere at all basically i used to wander off and come back with a few old ladies with me. they loved me!
When I was 4 my parents told me my baby sister was coming the next summer. Shortly after I started having the dream that I dropped my sister in a witches brew and my parents disowned me. Back then I thought dreams told the future so when she was born I refused to hold her because I was afraid I would be disowned. I refused to even go into the kitchen till I was 6 if she was in there.
I used to believe that every time my parents would go out of the house, just to like get the paper or something, i would think that they were running for the car to leave me here forever. Now I beg them to leave so I can have some alone time!
When I was four my mom gave birth to my brother. When he would do something cute they would say he was "acting like a little nut".The only other time heard this word "nut"was when my dad was changing a flat tire on our car,so i freaked when we were driving one day and we heard a rattle from the front of the car and my dad said it sounded like we had a loose nut in the hub cap.I crawled over the front seat to make sure my brother hadn't gotten out of the car some way and hid in the hubcap and when I saw him laying in my moms arms my next immediate thought was after we'd get another flat my dad would bring back a new baby.
When my little brother was about four or five, he explained to me that he expected us both to grow up and our parents to actually become younger from a certain point on. In his imagination, brothers and sisters ALWAYS got married later on - and the parents then ALWAYS turned into their children! It still makes me smile, and I also think this idea is cute... every family remains an intact unit!

i used to believe that when kids weren't adopted within a couple weeks, they were put to sleep, just like at the pound! i BEGGED my parents to adopt me some siblings.
i believed that since my dad's name was "bill" and my best friend's dad's name was "bill," that if you were a dad, your name was "bill."
Up until I was about 5 or 6 years old, I thought that my great-grandmother was actually my "grape" grandmother because she always wore this blouse that had grapes all over it.
My mom was my Girl Scout troop leader growing up. At our first meeting (way back in Brownies, when I was 6), she told us that in our Brownie troop we would get sisters. What she meant was that all the members of the troop were like sisters, but I took her literally and thought that the other members of the troop would become my blood relatives somehow. Since I was an only child and I wanted a sister at the time, I was very excited, and I kept waiting for us to magically become "sisters." It took a year and a half for me to realize that this wasn't going to happen.
My older sister, whom I love dearly, once told me that I wasn't my parents' child. She said that they had found me under a rock in a back alley.
A year later, when I found out that my mother had to have me cecerian, she told me that my mom secretly referred to me as the "stupid baby". I believed her for years. When I finally told my mom about it a few moths ago, she called my sister and yelled at her. :)
I used to think that my great-grandmother was this lady that worked at a store that I once met when I was 4 and she was showing us her glass pieces (she was trying to sell them to us!)
