Parents have eyes in the back of their heads.
This section contains beliefs all on a common theme: Parents have eyes in the back of their heads..When i was little, my mom used to always say that she had eyes in the back of her head so i believed her. One time I even swore i saw an eyeball but of course that was just my imagination.
Once, I asked her what was behind her when she had her back turned and she said "my robe". And of course that was correct. I remember being so startled...

When I'd do something wrong and my mom caught me and I asked how she saw me she'd go, " I have eyes in the back of my head". I always believed her and even looked for them in her hair once.
This little kid i know told me that his mom had eyes in the back of her head and he couldn't do any bad stuff!
My daughter always wonders how I know that she did something wrong or didn't do something she should do when I wasn't even looking I told her that when a woman becomes a mother they grow an eye in the back of their head. Every once in awhile she will say she can see the eye in the back of my head poking out of my hair!!
When me and my sister used to take baths in the tub my mom would tell us that she had eyes in the back of her head, so that we wouldn't misbehave by splashing water when she had her back turned. It scared the crap outta me, I thought for the longest time my mom was an alien! I'd search long and hard for those eyes when she turned around but never managed to find them, but i figured out that they must be hidden.
Now I don't remeber doing this but my mom tells me that when I was about 4 was playing with her hair. When questioned as too why I was doing this I replyed "I am looking for the eyes in the back of your head" She had always told me that all mommies have eyes in the back of there heads.

I used to beleive that women had eyes on the back of their heads (ever since the time mom caught me climbing a fence when she wasn't even looking) and that women have long hair so people can't see them.
My mom said she had eyes in the back of her head. I looked and looked, but never found them.
this is my daughters belief that she told me when she had grown up. She would spend a lot of time brushing my long hair, not just because she liked to do it, but she was looking for the eyes in the back of my head that I had told her that all mothers had.
When I was like 5 my mother told me not to ever do anything bad behind her because she had eyes in the back of her head. I spent hours feeling the back of her head for a pair of eyes...
My Mom always seemed to know what I was doing when I was trying to be sneaky when I was younger, then she told me its because she has eyes in back of her head.Well, that freaked me out so much,I thought if I moved her hair,I'd see eyeballs looking at me.
I used to believe that grown-ups, mothers in particular really did have eyes in the backs of their heads.
When I was 3 or 4, I pulled a chair up behind my mom one evening and started picking through her hair. When asked what I was doing, I told her I was looking for the eyes in the back of her head.
When I was in kindergarten, my teacher told me she had eyes in the back of her head (so we wouldn't do anything bad while her back was turned). She "proved" this by putting a pair of glasses on the back of her head for a few minutes. I thought I couldn't see out of the back of my head because I needed glasses (I had them in the front). I felt like such a dork when I asked my doctor for another pair of glasses, for the eyes in back of my head!
According to my mum (although I can't remember it) I used to think she had eyes in the back of her head.

Whenever I got in trouble, my mom would say she knew cause she had eyes in the back of her head. I believed her until I got in trouble for looking one day....

I used to believe my mother had eyes in the back of her head because she always caught me doing something I shouldn't have been. I could never find her eyes, she said they only opened up when I was doing something bad. I remember testing her one day when I was about 5 or 6: we were in the kitchen and she had her back to me, she was standing at the kitchen sink washing dishes. So I stuck my tongue out at her and she said "I saw that, put your tongue away!" I was flabbergasted!! I finally figured out what happened that day in the kitchen: you guessed it, the WINDOW over the sink showed my reflection! Of course, I was 15 and in a different house when I finally figured this out!
My mom always knew what mischief I was up to, and she said it was because she "had eyes in the back of her head." At first, this sort of frightened me. I thought she really did! Finally, she said it too many times, and I went behind her chair and parted the back of her hair, looking for them. When I couldn't find them, she said that her extra eyes close whenever anyone goes looking for them and that's why I'd never see them! Well, I believed that too! It's no wonder I'm a skeptic now.
My mom always told me she had eyes in the back of her head.
I yust to believe my mom had eyes in the back of her head because she always knew when I was doing something wrong. One time I actually checked under her hair.
