My mother used to tell me that she had eyes in the back of her head and could see whatever me and my brother were doing. She said it was a mommy thing and i once told her that i felt the beginning of my eyes growing in the back of my head

I believed my mother really DID have eyes in the back of her head! Must have been about 11 when I finally gave up the notion and realized it was just "a figure of speech."

Until we were preteens, my siblings and I believed that our mother had eyes in the back of her head. We believed this because she told us that she did and because she had an uncanny knack for sensing when we were up to no good. We would try to find them sometimes by sorting through her thick black hair, but never found them.

My mother used to tell us she had eyes in the back of her head and we of course belived her as she didn't even have to be looking and knew what we were doing. she also used to say God has away of letting me know when you do something wrong...we could be outside playing in the water and she would hollar get out of that water...or us in the kitchen sneaking sugar out of the sugar bowl, her in the living room and she'd say get out of that sugar bowl... Boy what a link to God. and boy she sure was special God gave her eyes in the back of her head....Of course when I had my own and learned how she did it, it was fun to tell my own the same thing.....thanks mom.
I used to believe that my mum would get soap in her eyes when she washed her hair, as she always said she had eyes in the back of her head and ALWAYS knew what I was up to!!!!

Our kids were convinced mom had eyes in the back of her head. We didn't realize how convinced until one day in the car they started to mess with her hair. They were looking for the eyes. Now that they have kids they know the real reason why mirors are installed in cars.

My mother would tell my brother and I she had eyes in the back of her head so we should behave cause she would see everything. To test her we would do things at the kitchen table to see if she would know what we were doing. She ALWAYS knew what we were doing. Little did I know that she was looking in the reflection of the oven (which was just above eyes level) and could see us. I beleived she had invisible eyes in the back of her head.

When I was young I used to think my mom had a second pair of eyes in the back of her head. She would say "You better watch out I can see you with the eyes in the back of my head."

My daughter believed I had eyes in the back of my head because I told her so to explain how I knew when she did something wrong. She tried to part my hair to look for them when I took a nap. This admission came when she was about 20 years old.

when i was a kid i used to believe that all moms had eyes in the back of their heads, cause they knew what you were going to do even if that can't see you
