When I was quite young, maybe 3 or 4, I believed that there was a ghost in our house. I'd ask him to do all sorts of things for me, like to bring me the gumballs from the counter, or help me fly around the house. He didn't ever help me out, but since I was SURE he existed, I assumed he was just very stubborn. I would get very angry with him, and yell into thin air each time he didn't do what I asked him to, which was very often.
top belief!
when was small, i thought ghosts were everywhere so i would yell in every room, "Hey you ghosts, go away!"
I yelled that in a craft store and everyone in the store as terrified.
The next week, the store closed down. i think it was because of me!!
i belived that every time at midnight i would wake up and go into the living room and into the kitchen to get something to drink when i go into the living room i turn on the light get in postion to dash into bed in the next room i thought that a ghost lived in our living room so i darted in bed and it never got me!
After watching the film Darby O'Gill and the little people, I was terrified of Banshees (even worse since I live in Ireland and this is supposedly where they come from) I thought if you heard one it meant that someone in your house was going to die, and I used to be terrified at night when I heard the wind howling
When i was a child i thought that when i close my eyes, ghosts appear and want to catch me. So during 3 years i was afraid to sleep.

I once started a rumour around my infant school about the ghost in the boys toilet. This became common knowledge and pretty soon everyone had a toilet pal, which was a friend who you always went to the toilet with in case the ghosts was about.
Well one day I needed to go the toilet but my toilet pal was off school sick. I needed to go so I walked up to the door and stuck my head round, ran in, did the business and ran out. I'd never been so scared in my life. Some how I'd seemingly forgotten that the ghost was in fact a figment of my own imagination.
In elementary everyone started to get into calling spirits from an empty bottle. You had to say a rhyme out loud while holding your hand over the bottle. As soon as you felt wind coming out of it, that meant the spirit was there.
I did this a few times and really believed that I had made friends with a spirit called Steven. He was always with me to look after me and at night he used to sit at the end of my bed to keep monsters and other ghosts away. I missed him when one day I realised he wasn't there anymore.
When I waz little i belived a ghost followed me in my parents room at night it was really scary i belive in ghosts but i kno its not a ghost i still get that feeling
When I was in Kindergarten, there was a grove of spindly trees by the door that led into the school building. these trees leaned against the wall, which is stone.
A girl I still know (and I'm in Junior High now) told me that she was sitting in the middle of the trees when a very pale boy wearing bloodstained clothing appeared an warned her away from the wall. The girl said that she was so scared that she ran TO the wall, and a torn up (as in, a ragged toy that was chewed on by as dog) bear, also pale, came out of the wall. My friend, the girl, was then chased by the bear around and around the trees, screaming for her life. (this was at Reccess, and none of the teachers heard her cries? Hmm...) The ghost bear cornered her against the wall, and scratched it deeply. Then it grabbed the ghost boy and jumped through the wall. (they would have ended up in the 2nd grade class room.)
My friend then showed me the scratch marks, and boy, was I scared! For about three years I was terrified to go near those trees alone, and even with others around, I was still scared. (Rather unfortuanate, since my class often had picnics on a grassy knoll right in front of the "Haunted Mini Forest".) Finally, my best friend convined me that my other friend, the girl, was yanking my chain.
the first time i watched the ghost busters movies i was just a kid. and i believed everything i saw. i totally believed that a pink ghost made of goo could come out of the tap. i made my dad run my bath and watch the water for a long time after that.
my primary school used to have everyone gather in this big room before classes started, and each grad ehad their own little area to stay in. the 2nd grade area was right next to this closet where everyone thought there were ghosts. this was because it was a very old building, and if you went in there, you could hear all these creaking noises.
much later, i figured out that the creaking noises were a result of the closet being located underneath a staircase, and it was just people on the stairs.
I used to believe there was a ghost in my bathroom.I cant believe I thought that!
Around 1st grade my friends and I were obsessed with ghosts and hauntings. We thought that ghosts had certain colors, example: black ghosts are the evil ones, red ghosts are evil too, Blue ghosts were evil but not AS evil and the White ones were nice. Well one day at YMCA summer day camp a light in the pool room was sort of broken and had a bluish tint to it. So my friend and I would get all freaked out telling everybody that a blue ghost was by the light watching us.
when i was about 6, my older cousin told me that you got a nightmare if you slept facing a wall. i believed him for years...
he also told me that any little spots of light that are on your wall are ghosts and are coming to get you!!!! i believed that for years too...
When I was little I had a friend named Janine. We were convinced that there were ghosts everywhere, following us around. We'd go to the playground at my school on the weekend and run around trying to find ghosts. Once we went on the computer and searched for ghosts. One picture came up that was really small so we clicked on it to enlarge it. It came up really big, and I pissed myself I was so scared! I showed my mom the picture because she wanted to know why I was scared. SHe looked at it and burst out laughing. It was a picture of a bunch of guys dressed up in some rain coats. I haven't beleived in ghosts since.
When i was little i used 2 belive we had a ghost called Fred and used 2 cry when we went on holiday because he would be on his own and might get stollen if we got broken in 2
when i was really little my sister got an old sheet and cut holes for eyes. she came to me and said she was a ghost. this ghost would visit me sometimes and give me nice soft hugs. i was unsure about whether this was really a ghost that looked like a sheet, or my sister....
I told my cousin about Bloddy Mary and she got scared and never went in the bathroom and was always wetting herself
One day my family talking about ghosts when my little sister piped "Remember when we saw REAL ghosts?" She looked so convinced that my mother dug into her head to find out why she was so convinced she saw a real ghost. Two years earlier we had been on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland, and all of this time she had believed in ghosts!
When my famliy and I went to Disney World for th first time in 1998 we went on this "Hunted" ride and my sis the chiken rode with my older bro and half way thrugh the ride all you herd was this little 7 year olds voice yelling HELP THE BAD GHOSTS GETTING ME!!!!!!!! well need less to say we NEVER went on that ride again
