When I was little I had this Barney the Dinosaur Sing-Along video. It had the song "Sally the Camel" on it, where the kids would be wearing this sheet over their heads, and after each verse one would crouch down, so the "camel" lost a hump. I'm not really sure why, but I was sure that "Sally" was a ghost who lived in the hallway and would eat me unless I ran at top speed all the way down it. Meep!
When i was living with my grandmother, my older cousin told us that the huge pine tree beside the house was haunted with ghosts, and that whenever the garden chimes rang, they came out. In the winter, my two cousins, me and my sister built a 3 ft. fort and hid behind it so the ghosts couldnt get us when the chaims rang.
the first time i watched the ghost busters movies i was just a kid. and i believed everything i saw. i totally believed that a pink ghost made of goo could come out of the tap. i made my dad run my bath and watch the water for a long time after that.
When I was about ten, there was this wierd Big TV screen at the mall. It was about the size of a human. When people walked across it, i thought that it was like a mirror that showed the ghosts in the mall, since it showed the same place that you would stand but it had actors walking across it. I refused to go into the mall for about two years.
I used to think that a man named Mr. Rap used to live under our porch. and if I went outside, He would grab me and take me to the black hole.
when i was younger i always believed there was this (ghost) woman that would only stick her harms out of the wall while you were sleeping to take ur pillow and smother you , so that your spirit can join her . I thought as long as sleep with my head covered up she could get to me ......ya i uh sleep with my head covered up till i was around 19 years old, (the habbit stuck with me) lol .
i was terrified of ghosts when i was young. i thought that if i pulled my blanket all around me covered myself completely that they couldnt see me...i couldnt breath under there so i would make a little hole for my mouth and nose after a while this got tiring so i put a tent over my bed made out of my strawberry shortcake blanket. when my heater kicked off it ticked in my vent when it did that i thought it was the ghost knocking so i would pull the magic blanket over me and hope he thought i wasnt in bed
when i was little I thought that the school was haunted by teachers that lived there forever and then died there and stayed in thier afterlife to haunt kids... me and my friends even made a club to try and figure out where all the ghosts were.
I used to be certain that ghosts were always just beyond your vision. So I would always spin my head around looking for them when I entered a dark room. If I couldn't find them, then they couldn't find me!
I used to believe that while i was walkin up the creeky old stairs (my hous is 94 yrs old) that the creeks & squeaks were people shouting HELP! and if you walk too slow they'd get you. I used to run up & down the stairs to keep away from those ghosts.
i used to have bunkbeds and believed that if i slept on the bottom bunk a ghost appear.
I was convinced that my house was haunted by a ghost and was determined to meet it and become friends. I remember this leading to a series of adventures.
I was (and still am) obsessed with horses. So, one day my friend told me that there were spirits of horses in the blowing snow, and they were in the snow because the snow was natural, not man made. But you had to be pure of heart to be able to see them (my friend was all depressed cuz she couldnt). So these snow horses were fighting all man made buildings, against the industralization of the world. I could actually imagine horses in the snow, and I saw all kinds of things like fighting stallions and even a young native american boy.
when I was a kid I believed if I behaved bad, I would be incorporated by a spirit.
when i was small(7-8) i thought that ghosts were evil spirits that you could actually see. well one day i thought i had seen a ghost so i told my mom and she told me that ghosts weren't real. then a said what about scooby doo. he fights off ghosts. my mom then told me about cartoons and how they weren't real.
I use to believe that if I was alone and I said the word ghost loudly that a ghost would come and get me.
Our house was and still is haunted by the ghosts of cats and everytime I go to bed I can feel one curling up by my foot and hear one mewing at my window some of them would even follow me to school, which made me scare my peers by rambling on and on about them but I really am glad that we still have ghosts though I do feel sorry for the poor kitties.
I told my cousin about Bloddy Mary and she got scared and never went in the bathroom and was always wetting herself
when i was little my friend put food dye in water and said the swirls were ghosts and when they disappeared if you drank the water the ghosts would posess you.
One time, when I was younger (10-11), I went with my mom to the store in town at night. We took a back road because it was quicker. It just so happened that the road went by my town's cemetary. Back then I always watched ghost shows like Truth or Scare so when I saw 'balls of light' out in the cemetary I thought immediately that they were spirit orbs. (balls of light made by ghosts). They even seemed to follow the truck and stopped when we got past the cemetary. The next day I told EVERYBODY that I had seen ghosts. A few weeks later, my dad took me through the cemetary even though I was crying for him not to. It turned out that the 'spirit orbs' were only the lights on the truck reflecting off the shiny grave stones. I was so embarrassed!
