I used to believe that each house had a name. Unfortunately, our family lives in a townhouse (and still does to this day). This resulted in me naming the entire building "Thomas." Then, when I was six, my parents told me what townhouses were. Now, there are 6 houses in our one building, so I named each one of them. All the people except for the married couple at #4 moved out since then. By the way, our family is at #1 in the townhouse.

#1 (us): Thomas
#2: Michelle
#3: Kevin
#4: Ronald (Ronald is the guy who lives there)
#5: Shaleen
#6: Megan

Also, I went a little overboard and gave them personalities. (No, I'm not making this up, although I will admit this is a little much...)

Tom was a goofy guy. I made this up because we have silly paintings on the walls of our house. Megan liked Tom for this. Kevin and Shaleen were married. Ronald is a nice old man who cooks for all the other houses and everyone likes him. Megan not only liked Tom but she was athletic. I kept wondering why Megan stood still though. Haha!

Also, I named my friend Dalton's house Smokey.

I was the baby in my family and my siblings were all much older. I had an imaginary friend named Pukka. Pukka and I played together every single day and he kept me from being lonely. Pukka also went with us everywhere and I would sometimes say (as in throw a fit) that we "forgot" him in the house as we were leaving and we had to go back and get him. My family always indulged me and this went on for years. I am now 44 and lo and behold I am getting mail from Pukka. It appears he is a world wide traveler who has been "friends" with many small chidren who needed him through the years. (I suspect my older brother is up to this, but who knows? Maybe my "imaginary" friend was more real than I thought!)

I had a whole imaginary world, populated with at least 5 distinct imaginary friends, imaginary dogs and cats (even though I had real ones), several fairies (one of whom sat on my shoulder), a younger sister who I took care of, and various gremlin-type (the cute ones) guys that would tag along too. My world had a name and a language all it's own. Needless to say I was an only child! But I have lots of real friendships, a great relationship with my boyfriend and a creative job. So I think all the imaginings were probably good for me!

I had an imaginary evil friend named Jenny. She only seemed to visit me in the bathroom. Hmmm..perhaps the name came from the girl who bit me in preschool..

I used to think that, for every real friend you made, another invisible (not imaginary) friend would become yours. For that reason, my invisible friends were always named after my real friends.

I had a lot of imaginary friends, but the one that stuck round the longest and bonded with me the most was Ellis. Ellis looked like a regular boy, but without a nose, and he had fewer teeth than normal (but they were bigger). HE lived in the oak tree outside our house, which was close enough to the house so that i could reach my hand out and touch some of the leaves. Ellis would climb (he was really good at that) through the window sometimes and we would eat shortbread. I knew that i couldn't get to his home in the tree, but i HAD to send him messages somehow. (We were best friends after all. ) At some point, I found a stash of those plastic Easter eggs that come apart, and i would stuff them with bits of food and paper and throw them at a tree. Ellis and I said goodbye to eachother when I explained it all to my parents and they were a little concerned. ( I was about 8.) They told me he was moving away (for some reason I assumed it was to Cornwall). I've been to cornwall, but never been able to find a guy there with no nose.......

Whe i was about two or three i began to get visits from a little boy called Kim. My mum had to leave to car door open for him to get in and all stuff like that. I was an only child. I saw him and spoke to him and to this day i do believe that i didnt just make him up in my head. I believe he was there. I had never met him before and i didnt sit down and make him up he just appeared. I was nice though he was never nasty or anything. Then one day i reamember him being there in my bedroom and talking to him and that was the last time i saw him.

When my best friend and I were in about sixth grade we loved to climb trees. There was one tree that had a family of wild and mean mongoose (mongeese?) living at the base. My friend and I would have to climb as high as we could to get away from them. Our mongeese were eight feet tall and had razor sharp teeth. :D I think we finally got over this in about the eighth grade. I still think of eight feet tall creatures with razor sharp teeth whenever i hear the word mongoose though. ^_^

Oh let's see, when I was four, I had three imaginary friends, Frak, yes Frak, (my grandfather's name was Frank, my grandmother often yelled his name), and Joanie and Sandie, until my sister was born and then I left them at the hospital, locked up in the bathroom in my mom's hospital room. I was scared they were going to take my baby sister away. I kept looking out of the back window of the car, expecting to see them chasing us. I slept in my sister's room for a couple nights until my mom made me sleep in my own room. I was so certain they were gonna get her. I believed this forever.

When I was 7 i had a made up friend called Frank. Frank was 6ft tall and was pretty much your average mobester kind of guy. Frank was a hit man for a very well known and powerful family called the Kantonies and when i went to sleep he would go out and do hits then come back at dawn to look out for me. Over the years Frank grew tired of killing and when i was 9 he retired and moved to Maine under the name Tony and owns a store there for other imaginary people to shop in.

I had an imaginary friend, Cootie, who was a drummer in a rock back and aptly resided in our pots and pans cupboard. I would go visit him and we'd drum on the pots and pans until my mother made me stop.

I used to actually believe that an invisible baby was making me do bad things around the house. Whenever I got in trouble I would blame it on the evil baby. He even had family members that didn't know he was evil.

When I was about six I was still an only child. I decided I needed some friends other than ones from school so for a couple of months, the ninja turtles were my imaginary friends.

I had five imaginary friends- Kiki, Taranaia, Rikkumar, Tanya, and Kevari. Kiki was hyper, Taranaia (or Tara) was evil, Rikkumar was weird and...depressed-ish, Tanya was annoying, and Kevari was my alter-ego.
I actually wrote a story about them in grade four. I still have Rikku, Tanya, and Kevari, and a new one called Kalrantai, who's...fairy-ish. The other ones were killed by Tara.

I was weird...
