When I was smaller, I used to have an imaginary friend named "Spikey". You know those funny little alien guys you would get out of the machines? Well, my Spikey was a BIG version of that!!! He was big and green and fat- and he was my toy protector. He followed me only sometimes- not all the time! I would sometimes say, "Spikey doesn't like that." or "Spikey LOVES cookies! You should make him some" and other times I would deny that he was ever there. Dont ask me how I got a little toy alien has an imaginary friend- I was an odd little kid. Johhny Depp would have been so proud, lol.

At this time I've an imaginary friend, who, really, isn't very 'friendly'. He is a clown - like evil spirit with red puffy hair, blue eyes and super pale skin. He often never wears clothing, except a wrapping of cloth below his abdomen and around his buttocks. He looks as if he has absolutely no fat on his body whatsoever. My usual way of communicating with him is either through my thoughts or by singing or playing the piano. He is hardly ever really kind to me, and often puts me down about things. But whenever I ask him to help me or encourage me to do something, he is more than happy to oblige. He follows me everywhere I go, usually appearing behind my shoulder, whispering things in my ear. I've yet to know his name.

I once convinced my little brother that everyone has purple hippopotamus that only they can see and that if you don't have one, then it means you aren't a real person. He cried for hours because he couldn't find his purple hippo.

I used to have an imaginary friend called douglas who was orange with blue hair. one day we were watching a kid's program when the characters had an imaginary friend exactly like douglas *even the same name*. this caused an abrupt ending to our friendship as i thought he was cheating on me with other peoples imaginations...

I had two imaginary friends and a guardian angel. The friends were twins, a girl and a boy, named Lonnie and Donnie. They were personified by two child sized mannequins in a Woolworth's store. I would visit them frequently talking very animatedly and hugging them whenever I got the chance. The guardian angel was their cousin - her name was Bonnie. When I turned 10 I decided I was too old for imaginary friends and such and took all three out to the back porch and said goodbye once and for all. Then Woolworth's closed and the mannequins disappeared as well.

There were these old trees in the playground at my school and in kindy I thought there were mice living in them, and the knotholes were doors. Then i changed schools, and there weren't any trees, so i believed they ran around in the walls and I used to talk to them through a missing brick.

until the age of about 4 years, i believed that little peope (elves) lived at the bottom of my bed. Only i could see them, and they only came out after dark. They had a world world on the bottom of my bed, with farms and schools and houses. They had special hats wich allowed them to fly up to me. some world tiggle my toes and feet while they worked on the farm. Others would sit on my knee and tell me things about every thing. they were always friends and i was never scared.

I always had an imaginary friend and dog ever since i was 7 years old, and I acted to them as if they were real. And i always thought that they WERE real. So i always sat with them and watched t.v in exact position = Dog, me, imaginary friend. I was always inbetween them. Them my sis would come along and sit on my dog or my friend! SO i would scream and cry and cry and my sister would laugh and laugh.

When I was about 4 I had 2 imaginary friends- One was Scar from the Lion King, and the other was Aladdin.

During the Summer one day, they were "Pushing" me on the swing. My dad came outside and said "Wow! You learned how to get the swing going!" (I didn't know how to). But I insisted that my imaginary friends were pushing me :)

I used to believe I had a million imaginary friends, all about the size of those hobbit action figures from LOTR, and they all worked at Macs convienience store. So every time we went for a drive and passed the convienince store, I'd have to unroll the window, say goodbye to all of them (by name) and let them go to work. I would be imaginary-friendless until we passed the convieniance store again. . .unfortunatly one day we took a different route home, and I never saw sally, susie, jimmy, bobby, or any of the others again. I was heartbroken.

When I was little, I had a BUNCH of imaginary friends. Depending on what I was in to at the time--maybe Care Bears, or characters from a book I just read--they all took the form of whatever it was I liked. I talked to them and asked their opinions on everything, and I talked back as them, too. But the best thing, I think, was when I had to go to bed. Every one of them had to wish the others good-night. So first I'd say good-night, and they would say good-night back. Then the next member of the brigade would go, and say good-night to everyone else. And the next, and the next... and I felt terrible the ext morning if I forgot anybody.

I used to think everyone in the world had an imaginary friend that nobody else could see, because when ever I was in the car and saw people driving past talking (probably singing a song or something), they'd be talking to their imaginary friend!

untill i was 5, i had an imaginary friend. her name was Samantha. my mom would always set a spot for her at the table, but she never ate her imaginary food. after my sister was born, Samantha "told" me that she had to leave because she didnt like my new sister. i hated my sister for a very long time because she drove away my best friend (we lived in a community with alot of old people who never had any children visit, so i didnt have many friends.)

my sister was convinced, when we were little, that we had 4 brothers. in fact we only had one. she said that jake and john were her triplets and that freddy was a year older and adopted (she also said that he was jewish for some unknown reason) and then our actual brother brian (who was over 9 years older than me). she told me that my mother sent my 3 brothers away because she didnt like them, which to my 4 year old self made sense because my real brother was honestly my half brother and lived with his mom. years later i found out the truth- i was quite relieved i kept on worrying that my mom was gonna send me away- but we still laugh whenever it comes up. and occasionally we try to fool our friends.
