I used to believe that if you stood by a window for too long at night than a werewolf/vampire/monster would reach through the window and kill you.

I never looked out a window for a long time.

i used to believe in the boogieman . i thought he was a man made of snot . i would be afraid when i wake op at night and find myself on the floor . my mom and dad would tell me he wasnt real .

i used to belive thatif u go to sleep wearing ur pj's that the p.j monster would come and cut up all your p.j's. so i allways used to wear nighties or shorts and t-shirts.

When I was little I used to believe that when you would turn off the lights in a room, these big hairy monsters would come so I would step out of my room, with my hand in the room on the light switch, turn it off and dart down the hallway!

and your nose as desert...I used to practically sufficate my self sleeping under the covers

When I was 5 i used to believe that a monster lived in the staircase in our home. I called the Skeleton, because he was shaped like a skeleton. For a long time, i was afraid to climb the staircase at night. I used to run quick so the skeleton wouldn't get me, because then he caught me he would take me and emprison me in the attic.

I used to believe that if you fall asleep with your hands on the outside of the covers, monsters would come and eat your fingernails.

When I was little, one time I heard the sounds of indians outside my room. It was probably a car blasting its radio, however as a young child, it sounded very real. I went under my bed and spent the rest of the night there. I really thought they were attacking our home !!

When I was little, I believed that the 'koo-ko' (spanish boogeyman) was outside in the dark or in the spareroom of my house and even now as an adult I get more than a little anxious waiting for my dogs to pee or going upstairs to look for something.

i believed a red one eyed monster would get me if i did not go to bed by ten. If I was awake still my mother would point out of the window and sure enough there would be the glowing red eye of the monster winding its way along the country road . Ahhhhhrg. I was never up after ten......
when I grew up....my mum confessed it was our drunk neighbour driving his car home after his regular visit to the local public house, the car had no functioning lights except one tail light, old red eyes..........

My whole childhood, all the way up until I was probably about eight or nine, every night when I would be lying in my bed trying to fall asleep, if I was laying on my side and the side of my face on my pillow, like if my ear was facedown on the pillow, and I could hear my heart beating...well, I didn't know that it was my heart beating, I thought it was the sound of this army of monsters marching to come and take me and my family away and hurt us and the only way to prevent them from coming was to not lay on my ear like that, so basically, it would be prevented if I couldn't hear them marching.

I used to believe that the monsters of the world couldn't get you if the lights were on. I had a very different idea of monsters back then. I always imagined them as creatures. Little did i know that monsters really do exist, they are just really horrible people!

I used to beleive that there were monsters in my closet like most kids but if i had my light on in the closet they could not see but if the light was off they could see. When they couldn't see it was like they were paralyzed so they could not get me.
