My mum used to say... "If you don't sleep early, the evil witch will cut your eyelids,"
And I believed till I was 9 years old.
There was a boy living next door to me who was one year younger and didn't have training wheels on his bike, but the bike still made the sound training wheels make so I thought he actually has them but his mother was a witch and had made them invisible.
When was little i slept in room under the window and at night i use to think that whiches woulf fly in and if my fingers were sticking out from under the covers they would cut tem of and use them in there magical spells! i was so scared thatvicouldn't watch any movie that had whitches in it because i was scared they would jump out at me i couldn't sit through the Wizard of Oz!!
When I was a child I solely believed in ghosts. There was an old maid at my house. I used to think that she was a witch. It was Holloween when I asked her about her withcraft, and she gave me a scary look saying YES! I was so afraid that Startied yelling and screaming. And whenever she came to wark at house, I used to hide in my washroom. It continued for three whole years!
I would never get into the car because I firmly believed there was a witch sitting on top, waiting to get me, and waiting to crash the car. It was only my babysitter's car, too. I believed it because one time, when I was in her car, lightning struck a tree and the tree almost fell on top of her car.
When I was about 5 I used to believe that there were witches in my window at night. When I would lay in my bed I would put my hand over my forehead which would block my view of the window in my room. One night my mom asked my why I always slept like that and I told her it was because the witches were in my window.

When I was little, I used to believe that most old ladies must be witches, because of the wrinkles, funny clothes and scratchy voices
I used to belive for some reason that a witch lived under the refridgerator and wanted to eat my feet. So at night I would not go up to the fridge unless the kitchen light was on. Also I belived she lived under my bed at night. Why and how I came up with these I don't know.

If I went to bed with my shirt on backwards, the witches would take me to thier den in the mountains, because they could see I was crazy like them
I used to think my mom was a witch because whilst sitting at a red light she would always know exactly when it would turn green and I assumed she was doing it with her witch powers. I was dumbfounded for the longest time until I started driving and realized you could glean this information from the walk/don't walk signs.

At some point in my childhood I seriously believed that my parents were a witch and a warlock and that the lounge was actually a cave with a cauldren in the middle of it, but everything looked normal because they had put a spell on it. I would try and sneak up quietly and catch them out before it changed back to a living room but they were always too quick for me
I used to believe there were two witches in my room when i went to bed;one far under my covers constantly trying to eat my feet and another flying around my room.
I believed that an aunt was a witch. Whenever she came to visit she was always dressed in black. Later, when she moved closer to us & purchased a restaurant, she became mad at her husband (my uncle-in-law) and raised her hands up in a hexing stance & growled. I was sure she was a witch! I was about 7 years old.
My mother told me that if I didn't keep my feet covered with the blankets when I slept witches would come from under the bed and eat my feet off. To this day I need something covering my feet at night ( even in summer )...ta Mum
I used to think my mom was a witch, because when I misused a toy she would take it, put her hands behind her back, and make it disappear. I lost many toys this way, and even after searching her many times when she did this and not finding my toy, even now that I'm in my teens I still cannot figure out what she did with all those toys.. Maybe someday I'll figure it out!

My mother always told me that if I didn't break up my egg shells then the witches would use them to sail across the water to get the fairies. I have crushed my egg shells ever since and even make my husband do it too!
I used to have a habit of having my feet sticking out the end of my bed.. for one reason or another my parents didn't like it and so told me that the witches would fly down and eat my toes! From that day forward I have never slept with my toes peeking out of the duvet and even if they did they go straight back in even now!
We live near Washington, D.C. and when I was little, my mom used to tell me that Georgetown University was the Wicked Witch of the West's castle (the buildings look just like a creepy, dark castle). She would tell me that if I misbehaved, she would tell the Wicked Witch to have her monkeys fly to get me. Freaked me OUT!
I used to think that my mom was a witch (She had an evil witch laugh), and if I hid under the kitchen table, she couldn't see me.
Because my step mother's birthday was on Halloween, I thought she was a witch. I always wanted to be with my dad on Halloween because I wanted to see her turn into a black cat.
