I used to believe, like alot of people, that the bands were playing live at the radio stations. One time I was listening to a song, and my mom turned to a different radio station, and then the same song was on. I was VERY confused as to how this band (whose name I forgot) could be in 2 placed at once!
I used to believe that every band or singer on the radio was right there in the radio station. I figured that they needed commercials to give each band time to run out of the studio and the next band to go in and play their song.
When we listened to music on the radio, I believed that the musicians were at the radio station. I was quite confused when my parents changed stations & they were also singing or playing on another station.
My parents thought that was quite funny.
I used to believe that radio stations had the bands playing live for every song. And before I figured that out, I used to believe there were tiny people living inside the radio.
I used to think that when I heard songs on the radio, the actual group was in the studio performing at that moment! I always wondered how they had the space for so many different bands!
I use to believe that the people that sang on the radio would sing the same songs over and over again. That they were at the radio station singing there songs. I use to wonder if they ever got tired.
I used to beleive that the songs on the radio were always performed live - I thought that they must have a lot of energy to sing the song at 11:00 p.m.
I used to believe that the local radio stations had the real stars in their studios singing their songs all day and they neve left.
I used to believe that the radio stations had little rooms and the bands had to go play their songs in them in order for the radio to be able to broadcast them. So if the band didn't play, there was no song on the radio.
when i was about 4 or 5 years old my mom and dad always had the radio on to pop music. I thought all the performances were live on the station and the singer or group was in the studio every time their song was played.
I used to believe that bands actually played their songs at the radio station into a microphone so we could hear them play. I thought the commercial breaks were so the bands would have time to switch out for the next band to come in and play the next song.
I used to believe that every time a song was played on the radio, the band was actually at the radio station playing it. I wondered how they did it, setting up so quickly between songs and sometimes going back to the same radio station 2 or 3 times a day!
When I was a child, I used to think that any time I heard a song, whether it was a record or on the radio, the artist was singing it live at that very moment wherever he/she was.
When listening to the radio as a kid, I used to believe that the singers I heard actually came to the studio to sing their song, then leave, and the next one came in to sing; etc.!!
When I was very little, I truly believed that all of the bands that I heard on the radio were actually at the radio station. They would each wait their turn to play on the air for 3 or 4 minutes every hour or so. I often wondered if they had homes or if they all just lived at the radio station. I also figured that it must be pretty crowded there, you know, with all the muscians and instruments lying about...
I used to believe that every time I heard a song on the radio, the actual band was performing at that radio station. And if I heard that same song even a minute later, I thought the band somehow raced across town to play the song again. Don't ask me how I thought they made it to radio stations across the country!
I use to believe that the songs on the radio were really being sung at the radio station. I could never understand how two stations could play the same artist so close together.
When I was a kid, I believed every single song on the radio was performed live at the radio station. I pictured singers and bands lined up ready to play their song. I thought when a popular song played the band had to stay at the radio station all day so they could play that song a bunch of times.
I used to believe that the music on radio stations was live music. I would always wonder why no one ever messed up. Also i was in the shock of my life when I would hear the same song on 2 different stations and the songs were at different parts.
When I was little my mum used to have the radio on while she was doing stuff around the kitchen and I used to dance away to it while she worked. I understood what pop bands were because I had seen them on Top of the Pops, but I used to think that the bands used to go down to the radio station each time their song was played and do it live in the studio. I thought that it was VERY nice of them to take time out of their busy schedules to do this and thought they had to wait in a queue for their turn to play and get their song on the radio.
