I used to believe that there were people in the TV that watched the shows and laughed at the funny parts, and thats why on some shows you can hear other people laughing (which i now know is the studio audience)

I believed that everyone in the world could watch me on t.v. if I did commercials in the mirror. I used to spend hours doing "breck girl" commercials from the age of 5 to about 10 in my bedroom mirror. My brothers still call me the breck girl and my signature move at 38 is still the "hair toss"...

When I was little I used to believe that actors and actresses lived inside the VHS tape and I would ask them repeatedly whether they were ready for me to start the tape or not. I assumed that they just acted out the movie whenever I wanted them to.

I used to believe that normal people would go in front of a special machine to make them tiny, then they would jump in our tvs to be on the tv shows. i always looked behind the tv to see where they got in and if i'd be able to get in there.

When I was about 4 I believed that when you watched a show or movie that had a laugh track. It was people at home laughing and was being broadcast all over the world. So I started talking very loudly into my VCR saying hi to my friends. Sadly when I played the tape over again wondering why my friends didnt say anything, I noticed that it was the exact same people laughing.

When was about 5-7 I thought when we turned off the TV, the people stayed there, ya know like frozen there, until we turned the TV back on.

I used to think "To Be Announced" was a news program.

When I was about 3 or so, I couldn't understand that TV shows and the news and stuff are still on even if you're not there to watch them. I thought that if I turned off thee TV and went to play outside, whatever I was watching would just start again when I came back.

When I was a preschooler, I had to go with my mother to the grocery store on day. I didn't want to leave because I was watching cartoons on t.v. I figured out that if I turned the t.v. off, I would be able to watch the rest of the cartoon when I came home and turned the t.v. back on. When I got back home, I told my mother that I couldn't find the channel that my cartoon was supposed to be on. When she broke the news about the situation, I was devastated.

when i was 5 or 6 my cousin told me that if you got to close to the TV when you where watching it vampires would come out of it and they would try to get you but noone could help you. I didn't watch TV for about 4 weeks after that.

I used to believe, when I was little, that if i sat close enough to the TV (like with my face right on the tv) and I looked up, down or on the sides I'd be able to see more.

Whenever they would say "This show is brought to you by..." Since I never actually saw the words on the screen, and they just said them, I didn't realize that "brought to you" was 3 separate words. I thought it was one long fancy word that I wouldn't understand until I was older. It sounded like they were saying "bra-tah-yoo" or something. Heheh.
Finally one day they actually put the words on the screen, and I went "Ohhhh!"

i used to believe the people in the tv were tiny and real, and i didn't understand how anyone could watch the same show at the same time on a different tv.

i also used to think that the radio had to play the same songs at the same time, and that i just couldn't figure out the pattern of them (daily, weekly, etc.)

I had no clue what re-runs were. I thought that all lvie action shows were shot live in the studio, and I was shocked that they actually recorded them and showed them later.

I was a huge Courage The Cowardly Dog fan at the age of eight until the age of ten. And there's this one episode with this creepy mummy king giving the people three plagues. I had no problems with it at first.

That was until my friend at school said "My brother is afraid that guy's gonna show up in our bathtub."

After that, for a while *I* was afraid the creepy mummy king plague dude was going to show up in *my* bathtub. Hahaha. Now I'm into Courage again 'cause my guardian and I like to watch it together. CREEPY MUMMY KINGS ARE YET TO SHOW UP IN MY BATHTUB, LULZ.
