When I was a child I used to believe Superman existed because I watched him on TV
When I was let's say 5 I thought if the television screen broke, then everything you had seen on television like scary movies, cartoons, etc. would come out from the television into your house!
i used to believe that if you fell asleep watching television you would get sucked in and disappear forever well one day my two brothers thought it was funny to make a fake tv and put in my favourite lulliby with a picture of elmo (i loved elmo and still do =) ) in the front to make the screen. well i fell asleep while trying so hard to stay awake. while i was asleep they shove me in the fake tv and since then i only watch tv at certain times!!
I used to believe that if you talked to the characters on tv, they would hear you and would talk back to you
When I was about 6, my friend told me that if you ran fast enough you could go through the tv and end up in that show. Well I worked up enough enery to run really fast. I ran, I jumped, I crashed, I cryed. Owwww <(o.O)>
When I was younger, I always thought that everything you saw on TV was made on a closed set. Even if it was outside, I thought it was a set. I remember thinking they made the trees look pretty real, wondering how they did it.
When I was little I used to believe that when we watched TV that we were watching in on what was happening in the house next door, and I believed that the house on the end of our street couldnt watch TV because they didnt have a next door neighbor. Gosh I was a loser, lol.
When I was about four or five, I believed that the tv worked like the vcr: if you turned it off in the middle of the show, it'd pick up right where you left it. I thought that my tv was broken for months because when I had to turn off 'My Little Pony' to go to school, I'd come home, turn it back on and there would be an afternoon talk show on. I was always so disappointed.
When I was about 3 or 4, we had a little black and white tv. There was a little whole in the screen and I thought I could go inside the tv and into whatever program I was watching.
I used to think that when ever you turned the TV off, it would come back on to the same place when you turned it off.....weird!
i used to have very strange beliefs. i used to think that everybody could read my mind and all the people on t.v. were actually real people who got sucked in and had to stay there and act for the rest of their lives! i also remember i used to watch a show called "buffy the vampire slayer"(and i still do) and i would actually believe i was a real vampire from that show and would act really evil and my parents almost took me to therapy because they thought i was possessed!!
I used to believe that "S.C. Johnson Wax" was actually "Messy Johnson Wax"... I figured that was why he made cleaning products, to clean up his house after being so messy. But I did think that Johnson Wax was a very strange name indeed...
When I was a little kid, I believed that when you saw someone killed on television, that they were actually killed. I thought they just got people who wanted to commit suicide, or people who were sentenced to death for crimes, and put them in the tv show.
When I was a kid, I believed our TV received the ‘white shows’, because we were a ‘white family’, and there were ‘black shows’ which were broadcast to the homes of ‘black families’. When we started getting ‘Amos ‘n Andy’, I loved it and thought we were getting to watch one of those other broadcasts.
When I was young, I used to believe Santa was real but Indians were made up. I also used to believe evertime you watched a movie the people in the movie had to go and act everythnig out again, so I'd feel bad watching movies too many times and rewinding them.
i used to believe that charactors in movies and t.v were really people i knew dressed up.
I used to think that only kids could see Barney. If adults watched the show, they could only see the children talking to each other but never Barney.
I used to think that the news reporters on the television were watching me
When I was three or four years old, I had seen an aerial view of New York City. I asked my father, a left-brained engineer, what would happen if I would "bust" into the tv. He answered that, of course, I would die. I assumed that I would be killed as a result of falling from the sky onto the concrete of New York!
I used to think that the man and woman that presented Playschool were married to each other.
