I used to believe that Doctor Who was filmed live.
When I was younger (4,5 etc) I used to hink that the thunderbird dolls were alive. It was really scary, because I used to think that they were come and kill me or something when they weren't on TV. I was a complete idiot. :s
i used to watch power rangers when i was younger. i was afraid that, if those horrible monstrs ever came, who would save since power rangers do not exist?
Mr. Rogers creeped me out. I thought he could see me through the tv. I would hide in my closet to change clothes so he couldn't see me naked.
I used to the ALF (the alien from Melmac) was real, and that he ate cats because they were evil and he was trying to save the world.
When I was 3 or 4 I thought that my dad was Mr. Dress-up (a Canadian children's entertainer) because they looked somewhat similar. I thought that when he went to work that he was going to the tv station and my proof was that he was on the tv right after he left the house each morning.
I also believed that if I whispered into the headphone jack on the tv that whoever was on the screen could hear my voice coming out of no where...
When i was about 8 my nan and grandad used to watch a programme called *prisoner cell block H* well i remember thinking "Why dont they just sell the block H?" I thought it was an actual object...yep i was a weird child lol
I use to believe that Barney was actually a really mean person. After the camera went off he would scream at all the kids and hit them and would let them go home to their families. I would watch the show for secret crys of help from the kids so I could convince my parents to go help them. My parents were convinced that I actually liked it. They bought me sheet with Barney's face and I flipped. I don't think they ever understood me.
i used to believe that the government gave everyone in the country video cameras just so that they could put people having accidents on 'you've Been Framed'.
I used to believe that the people who dressed up in animal costumes on TV shows were real animals, just life sized versions from a magical land.
I used to believe that a "Sitcom" was any live-action comedy show. So, like, Spongebob wouldn't be a sitcom, because it's a cartoon. I also thought that the name meant Sit-Comedy, you would SIT down and laugh and the COMEDY.
When I was about 4 I was watching Sesame Street. Someone on the show found a secret passage in a normal looking wall. I looked around and saw the outlets in the wall and thought that they must be keyholes to the secret passages in my house. I stuck a key into the outlet... thankfully it wasn't the heavily charged side. No secret passageway opened, and I was so embarressed at having put a key into it that I made myself pull it out so no one would find out.
I used to believe I was one of the Power Rangers (the pink one) and thought I had her powers. I even bought everything pink to be more like her! Now I hate pink!
I used to believe that the same episode of a TV show woould change everytime you watched it.
I used to think that there were people in the TV acting out the TV shows.
When I was younger I used to believe that TV shows were happening in real life and then when I heard them say "At 9pm Eastern, 8Pm central" I was very confused as to why when I tried to watch it again at 9 it wasn't on.
I thought the show The Wonder Years was made in the 60's where it takes place (it actually started in 1988)
I used to beleive that whenever Mary, Mungo and Midge got in the lift at the end of each episode, the cable would snap and they would plummet to their deaths. Apparently, I used to cry and shout at the telly every time it came on.
I used to believe that Mr. Rogers was talking to some unseen person; it never occured to me that the "you" he was addressing was me.
i thought that the 'cookie monster' really eats those cookies....
i shoulda just realized he wasn't, judging by ALL the cookie mess he made..
